Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) has scored a book deal, taking another step to raise her national profile amid speculation that she could mount a bid for the White House in 2020.
Penguin Press announced Tuesday that it will publish Harris' book "The Truths We Hold: An American Journey" in January 2019, according to multiple media reports.
The title will delve into what Harris sees as "the core truths," and will recount her upbringing as a child of immigrants, The Associated Press and New York Times reported. Harris's father is from Jamaica and her mother is from India.
Harris, 53, served as California's attorney general before entering the Senate last year. She's become one of Washington's most prominent Democratic lawmakers and vocal critics of President Trump, fueling speculation that she could challenge Trump in 2020.
But Harris has also been reluctant to signal that a presidential campaign is in her future. During an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in April, Harris said she was focused on "pressing issues right now," such as pushing for protections for young undocumented immigrants, rather than 2020.
"These are immediate needs," Harris said. "These are things I'm focused on right now."
Pffftt... What would she know about “truth”?
she is not a natural born citizen
nothing- so look for it in the fiction and ‘comedy’ section
The public libraries buy these in bulk.
They should be defaced.
Have her post her story in Mad Magazine.
These book deals are usually just a way to funnel a few millions of dollars to some Progressive. Is she actually expected to write anything? Or will the ghostwriter do it all?
Penguin, owned by Random House, which is in turn owned by....Bertelsmann and Pearson.
What a coinkydink.
This is how Money is Laundered into Democrat campaigns, Illegally.
Here’s the cliff notes version:
I slept with a powerful wealthy man...
I serviced him so well, he bought me a Senate seat.
I think we’ve seen this movie before.....wonder if Ayers helped her write it?
“How to sleep your way to the top: the story of an empowered woman.”
The reality:
dreams from my step father....
Is this because her immigrant parents were not US citizens at the time of her 1964 birth in Oakland CA? I can't find that information anywhere.
Potential title - How many times does 60 go into 24?
