The journalistic hounds at CNN have a new target, a politician whose sin is so egregious – so unthinkable – that it can hardly be spoken aloud: the recently elected congressman from Minnesota disagrees with CNN orthodoxy on race.
And now, with enthusiasm we have not seen since hordes of reporters descended on Rick Perry's boyhood hunting grounds where they found a 30-year-old racial expletive written under a rock, CNN has set out to punish Congressman Jason Lewis.
The sins of the congressman were easy to ferret out. They came during a stint as a talk show host in Minneapolis around six years ago.
Lewis made the fatal error of questioning whether welfare dependence is good for black people.
Per usual CNN standards, none of the genius CNN talking heads are willing to actually talk with Lewis, other than call him names and say he is a bad person and hope no one notices the difference.
Not that the folks on CNN are shy when they talk about race. Just a few days ago, CNN host Michael Smerconish actually got into a disagreement with a black editor of the Washington Post, Karen Attiah.
Smerconish was unhappy at a recent decision for Starbucks to close its American stores and subject its 177,000 American employees to racial sensitivity training. He thought Starbucks should have closed its coffee shops all over the world.
That was not quite good enough for the WaPo editor: she said all white people need training on how to get along with black people. And that should take about 100 years.
The semi-official Starbucks-CNN policy is that black people are relentless victims of relentless white racism all the time, everywhere, and that explains everything.

Jason Lewis is a historian, a Constitutional Scholar, an expert on the Beatles and their music, and a VERY wise and witty man. Waaaaaaay too good, too smart, and too funny for Minna-SO-cold!
Is he the same Jason Lewis that used to occasionally sub for Rush?
Jason Lewis was formerly a radio talk show host. As such, he said lots of things that would not be considered PC. For that reason, he is always a target of liberals. It looks like he is being targeted for defeat this year by the national MSM. His district is near the Twin Cities metro, so could be considered a swing district.
In 2016 he won reelection by a bigger margin than when he first won in 2014. He had Trump on the ballot and that got out the vote, which helped him a lot. Outside the TC metro area, Minnesota went strong for Trump in most areas.
Loved it when he just walked off his radio gig - for good.
That bunch of ass hats in the House need to listen to him.

He’s my congressman. You can bet he will be re-elected. This district went big for McCain in 2008, Romney in 2012, and Trump in 2016.
Of Course Rick Perry was a Racist 30 years ago. Back then he was an Al Gore supporting Democrat.
The media probably realised this and dropped it before anyone else found out.
Jason Lewis was on after Rush on WBT in Charlotte before he went to Mn. and if he had “issues” with black anything or vice versa, he wouldn’t have survived in Charlotte, nor been welcomed in Mn.
With any luck at all, now that they’ve called him out, they’ll have to debate with him on the benefits of black welfare dependence.

But when asked to produce videos or victims or 911 calls or police reports or witnesses to this tsunami of white violence that must exist in order for crime and violence to be equal among races, CNN reporters get real busy real fast.
Busy reading comic books, washing their hair, riding their bikes, or checking out the newest Brooklyn brew pub.
For White liberal elites to keep power they must deny any imperfection in the black community. The most common black criminal thug must be recast as Kunta Kinte. The debacle at Ferguson was a perfect example of the Kintefication of a thug.
But it's the threat behind the word "racist" that's most devastating. Because to 'notice truth' is interpreted as an attack on the very underpinning of Democrat power and they will 'destroy' a person for this heresy.
Originally it was only the 'black race card' - white guilt based on black citizens. Then white liberals decided they had the goose that laid golden eggs and they went wild.
From ONE CARD - the BLACK RACE CARD - they expanded out to 'Illegals Card', Brown Cards, Gay Cards and then on to lesbian, bisexual transgender, intersex, asexual, pansexual, and kink cards. The idea was to create groups that were 'above criticism'...
When citizens had been whipped into acceptance of this insanity and we're afraid to express the smallest criticism - the left raised the bar. The new standard became 'dog whistles, microagressions etc.You didn't need to SAY anything negative the other person just needed to 'experience' a slight. Sick on so many levels...
Mullahs in Iran use a similar system: Mullahs say there are the spokespeople of Allah - therefore if you complain about pot holes in the streets you're attacking Allah's ... It's an easy system to keep power and it's as thuggish and corrupt as the day is long.
In 50 years people could be attacking anyone who said anything negative about Trump - or positive about the MSM... Our side needs to avoid this trap in the future.

I think he did, and I don’t know why he doesn’t do so any more.
I don’t think he can, now that he’s a sitting Congressman.
He can’t sub for Rush for that reason. Same when Tony Snow, who used to sub for Rush, when he became GWB’s press secretary. Tony Snow was also a Freeper. (RIP)
