I certainly had a lot, the three people above me were all latino.
I remember I was taught that most filipinos were lantino because they were mixed with spain blood and their language is derived from spanish.

Stop right there. My friends at JPL tell me that the place became politically correct around 2008. Obama sent mediocre people to tell the JPS scientists what to do. Some of the brightest left and many of the dimmest stay at JPL. “Manager at JPL” means politically placed by Obama. The focus away from quality is sad.
I never had a higher-up that WASN’T a minority of one sort or another (except in Boot camp.. Half were white, the other half were latinos).

Yeah, a friend of mind that was born in Mexico to a white father and a very dark skin mother was classified as white. The mother was mixed too but I don’t know what of.
The state of California said he is white and not latino. Somehow some latinos get classified as white.
