Nice post. I know Rush took a little bit to fully embrace President Trump early on but I appreciate his support.

Why did Rush laugh initially, like this is a joke?

Rush has always complained that he never had the President he wanted in his 30 years. So Trump is doing all the things he wanted, and there's some hesitation there.

Deep down, Rush is pissed that Trump isn't a traditional Republican conservative.

It was a no brainer for Limbaugh to endorse Trump in 2016. But he used his typical excuse, “I never endorse anyone”, which was all about him playing it safe, protecting his career. It was clear, he wasn’t going to “risk it”.

It’ll be interesting to see if he puts his own self interest aside and endorses Trump in 2020.

When Trump first announced, Rush was GIDDY. He was beside himself with GLEE.

Almost immediately, he did a 180. Why? He found a horse head in his bed and a dead fish on his doorstep.

He got the John Roberts Obamacare phone call.

Rush straddled the fence like a bowling ball on the edge of a razor blade.

In the end, I guess he pulled it off. Keeping his powerful puppet masters happy without totally alienating Trump.

Maybe someday Rush will write a “tell all” book.

Move over, “War and Peace”.
