WOW, they had some bad floods a couple of years ago, I believe they cancelled the PGA Tour event at the Greenbrier due to flooding.

1 mile from the Dam. You would have so little reaction time. By the time of the news getting to you that water would be hitting.

According to Lynchburg Water Resources, College Lake Dam is considered stable after a conditions assessment was preformed this afternoon. A press conference is scheduled to be held at 3 p.m. today for updates.
