I justed posted a theory about Nellie Ohr on another thread, and I will post it here too:
1. Simpson and Steele assigned Bruce and Nellie Ohr the role of validating some of the fake Russian anti-Trump “intelligence” that went into the Dossier.
2. The Ohrs were an important avenue to getting Steele the status of confidential human source of the FBI.
3. Why was that status important? Because then everything could be concealed by “national security.” If Fusion GPS and Orbis were off on their own, and not acting as operatives of the US government, all of their dirty doings could more easily be exposed in libel or other court cases.
4. Nellie Ohr was hired not because she added much to the Steele team, but because it was a way to pay the Ohrs and get them beholden to Steele.
5. Nellie Ohr was told by Steele to monitor certain ‘numbers’ transmissions with her new ham radio. She never transmitted, only listened.
6. She was given one-time ‘pads’ which are typically used by listeners of transmissions of ‘numbers’ by intelligence services to decode short-wave radio transmissions. Steele directly or indirectly led her to believe the ‘pads’ were secretly obtained from double agents within Russia, and that what Nellie was listening to were genuine Rooskie intelligence transmissions to their undercover agents in America.
7. In fact the ‘numbers’ transmissions were generated by Steele or his associates, pretending to be Russian spymasters. It was made-up dirt intended to find its way into the dossier.
8. Nellie dutifully listens with her new ham radio and writes down the “Russian intelligence” she hears and decodes with the one-time ‘pads’ provided her. She roughly translates the Russian into English and provides it to Steele, who disingenuously congratulates her on intercepting Rooskie spymaster transmissions and then adds the info to the Dossier.
9. Both Bruce and Nellie are convinced this is genuince Russian intelligence, but in reality it is faked by Steele. Bruce is motivated to get Steele engaged with the FBI, and Nellie is motivated to help crack the case of the Russians helping Trump win the election and her participation ‘validates’ the fake Russian short-wave transmissions.

I bet we will find that Nellie was sending FBI data to Steel.

Does anyone have a "dossier timeline"? I'd like to see how Nellie's Ham radio licensure date falls in relation to other things.
The DS conspirators think it works in order to run out the clock/buy time, and Trump by patiently allowing the shocking information to slowly be teased out for public consumption.
Either side would have spilled the beans 1/2017 if they thought it was effective. The DS would have immediately come clean and admitted the coup under the guise of national security. Ditto Trump if he thought the MSM was insufficiently powerful to influence the truth.
But, as we have witnessed, both sides decided an early reveal wouldn't work. So, here we are with the unraveling layers, with nothing new under the sun, other than it's finally being released for the general public.

Suddenly? How do you know that? Besides, if I wanted to communicate in a covert way a) I’d just use the internet or dark web, or b) if I wanted to use radio I’d just go to eBay and buy one. There is no requirement to have a ham license to buy or even use ham gear any more than to buy and drive a car. But what sense does it make for the first act by someone who wants to communicate covertly to disclose their intent by obtaining a license from the federal government?
This argument is as dumb and the one that people who commit gun crimes are all CCW holders.
