Full title: Rep. Matt Gaetz: Rod Rosenstein Won't Say When He Learned Nellie Ohr Worked For Fusion GPS; "Real Smoking Gun"
GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz told FOX News host Jeanine Pirro on Friday that deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein refuses to tell investigators when he found out Nellie Ohr was working with Fusion GPS.
(snip)
REP. MATT GAETZ: I want to make a point about what Gregg just said. Rod Rosenstein wont tell us when he first learned that Nellie Ohr was working for Fusion GPS. So I want to know from Bruce Ohr, when did he tell his colleagues at the Department of Justice that in violation of law that required him to disclose his wifes occupation his sources of income. He did not do that. So when did all of the other people at the Department of Justice find this out because Rod Rosenstein, Ive asked him twice in open hearing and he will not give an answer. I think theres a real smoking gun there.

Rosenstain is a mean prick. You can see the vindictive look in his eyes.
Rod is the kid who was always picked last for kickball. He is seeking his revenge.
My guess is that Mueller “investigation” will drag on, which will continue to reel in some small fish surrounding president Trump through court (AND opinion court) that have nothing to do with Trump-Russia Collusion.
Then, BAM!!! Mid-October they’ll produce a smoking gun allegation to swing the 2018 mid-term, hoping to usher in a Dem controlled Congress.
Then we can kiss Trump agenda good-bye. If Republican Congress truly want to win, they have to go bold like there’s no tomorrow right now. (Sigh) But they won’t.
Trump can do his own October surprise if that happens by declassifying a bunch of stuff.
Will anyone ask about Ohrs wife sudden interest in ham radio?
Did Lisa Barsoomian, Rod’s spouse, have a little pillow talk and spill the beans about the Ohr family?
These are "in the FR family" concerns. We always knew that to obliterate the Deep State, decisive, swift action would be needed. Trump, I thought, had that trait. So why are all of these things dragging out to the point of failure?
I kinda suspect that Trump might go and appoint a special prosecutor on his own, and aim it at the Fusion GPS business, and the Clinton Foundation. That guy might immediately turn and ask Rosenstein in depth questions.
Rosenstain is a mean prick. You can see the vindictive look in his eyes.
Agree. Watching his testomony, hes one shifty-eyed SOB for sure.
“Trump can do his own October surprise...”
Yes - I too get frustrated with the slow pace from our side for justice, yet I also still trust President’s timing.
President Trump knows more than we do about the Deep State’s secrets (he has clearance for all of the classified documents) so holds the trump card (or cards)and knows when to use it better than we do.
HA..! What is that, some kind of joke..? The halls if the supposedly "Department of Justice" is littered with so called smoking guns... It doesn't mean a damn thing. No one has the stones to do anything about it... Especially Jeff Sessions :(
From the Nunes memo ...
Sally Yates, then-Acting DAG Dana Boente, and DAG Rod Rosenstein each signed one or more FISA applications on behalf of DOJ.Combine that with the approximate dates of each of the four applications ...
October 21, 2016 was the first. The others follow on approximate 90 day intervals. So roughly, January 21, 2017 is the next one. Yates was fired January 30, 2017, so Yates probably signed the second one. That would leave one each for Boente and Rosenstein.
If Yates didn't sign the second application, Boente did, shifting the question to "how many FISA warrant applcaitons did Boente sign?" Or, more particularly, did Boente sign the third FISA warrant applcation, or did Rosenstein?
Boente assumed the role of Acting AG when Yates was fired. The third FISA warrant applcation would have been due around April 21, 2017. Rosenstein was not sworn in as DAG until April 25, 2017.
Another way to derive "who signed" is to view the FISA warrant applicaitons, redacted though they be, the approval signatures are in place, with month and year visible, day of month redacted.
Yates - Oct 2016 (page 65 of pdf)
Yates - Jan 2017 (page 161 of pdf)
Boente - Apr 2017 (page 271 of pdf)
That's three out of four, same result reached by cross reference of Nunes memo with "swear in" dates of DOJ signatories.
Shocked? The whole purpose of the investigation has been to smear President Trump, to limit his effectiveness, and to remove him from office.
No one in power actually believes there was any Russian collusion that meant anything or that Russians had any significant effect on the election.
The Russians were doing what they always do.
"Collusion" such as it was, was on the Hillary side of the election.
The “smoking gun” won’t even have to be real.
Exactly. Looking back now we can see so many of hte bombshell leaks were complete fabrications or even worse manufactured evidence like the spy entrapments.
RR is a scheming evil prick. He thinks he is untouchable and from what l can see he’s right. He sends a memo to Trump urging him to fire Comey. Then when Trumo does it RR used that as justification for hiring Comey’s BFF as Special Counsel. A total set up and Trump did nothing about it.
What I’m shocked about is that President Trump didn’t put a time limit on the investigation. The Deep State certainly wasn’t going to do it for him.
I think Rosenstein appointed Muller the very next day after Trump rejected Muller as FBI director. Ouch! Quite an insult
to a psycho former fbi director. As always, it boils down to the complicit Jeff Sessions that makes this all possible.
Trust the Rosenstein!
And remember, the Democrats are the Party who’ve turned a blind uncaring eye to collusion between their own and the ChiComs since the days of Charlie Trie and likely before ... never mind Teddy Kennedy seeking real interference from the Soviets.
This is just more of the seriousness of the charges that matter only because it’s a Democrat leveling the accusation. Ultimately Hillary in this case. And it didn’t even involve an SR-71 this time.
