The body of missing college student Mollie Tibbetts was found Tuesday, two sources told Fox News, bringing an end to an intensive search that lasted more than a month and captured national headlines.
A law enforcement source told Fox News the body was found in Iowa, but more specific details about the location were not released.

The boy friend was 100 miles away, at work, with witnesses, and passed a lie detector test. Doesn't sound like he's the perp.

There were a couple of made-for-TV movies about this case. Her husband was a dog, and the angst he put the community and families through was unforgivable.
Could it have been a ‘hit and run’ by a drunk driver - who took the body and dumped it?

It’s all relative. Driving 137mph it’s only an hour’s drive.
The area she was found is a rural area that includes a body of water,..It’s two miles south of Guerney, and it’s also located near Deep River. Guernsey is a community of only about 63 people. Deep River has about 273 people.

I don’t have any problems stepping out of the house. But I don’t take my safety for granted. And if it’s not a British mystery series, I don’t watch it :-)
Very sad. Hits me hard because I have a kid the same age, and he is away on vacation right now. My heart aches for her parents.
Exactly. First rule of defense and self-preservation is to have awareness of your surroundings at all times.

I considered that someone could have just bumped into her, thought it was minor and offered to take her home - and when she passed out he/she panicked and dumped her in the woods.
We have to wait just three more hours for the facts.

Yes I’m aware, but I felt that investigators withholding a timeline led to so many confusing reports in the news. When did she last communicate with her boyfriend - before or after her run? Did she go on a run and return? If she returned did she leave the house? The father was believing she perhaps just walked away, people reported seeing her. It just seemed very confusing.
