Spin Control: Inslee gets his weather patterns wrong in coal debate
Spokane (Washington) Spokesman-Review ^ | Sun., Aug. 26, 2018 | Jim Camden (in the hard-copy version)

Posted on 08/26/2018 10:45:04 AM PDT by castlebrew

"...It was no surprise that Gov. Jay Inslee was promising the state would take the feds to court over a proposed change in the Clean Power Plan rules regarding coal-burning generating facilities.

"...The real surprise was one of Inslee’s reasons for challenging the proposed rule to allow states more control over emissions from coal-burning power plants, a reason that suggests either an unfamiliarity with geography or meteorology.

(1st money quote - from the village idiot): "...“We’re breathing smoke from Mississippi,” he told reporters. “We’re breathing smoke from the rest of the United States.”

"...Weather patterns generally go from west to east, and Washington is way up here on the northwest corner, so we’re mostly breathing air from the Pacific, British Columbia or, sometimes, Oregon.

(2nd money quote - from the cowardly "yournalist"): "...Climate change is one of Inslee’s big issues, so Spin Control didn’t feel comfortable questioning his assertion on our own."

Not only does Washington State have a complete moron for a governor, the Socialist-Fishwrap has a complete coward/complicit lapdog for a politics reporter. I can see why he doesn't have his name on the web version of this slop.

Must be deathly afraid of missing some cocktail parties.

So much for "objectivity". Part of the Olympia, WA swamp.

Inslee's office did not comment on questions regarding the direction of sunrise.

Whay are people in Washington stte so stupid. I mean it must be the public schools there. Ill bet they spend more time spinning lies about sexual deviates than the do on Separation of Powers in the Constitution. Per Jesse Waters ,Ill bet they don’t know who we fought in WWII where we lost 500,000 troops. They dont have a clue. It is no wonder the governor doesn’t know which way the wind blows. unbelievable stupidity and they have that horrible patty murry for an actual United States Senator and she couldn’t run a cheap motel in real life.

Spokane is far far away from Olympia. On another point, this state is an embarrassment. Jay Inslee, Patty Murray, Maria Cantvotewell, and our Attorney General.

Tell me again why I live here? If it wasn’t for my 2 daughters, their husbands and the 6 grandchildren, I wouldn’t.

Kind of funny because we were in Seattle two weeks ago and there was haze from the fires in California. Shortly after we left the smoke got much worse. Maybe he should talk to Gov Moonbeam!

My step sister’s oldest daughter told me that when they lived in Washington (Navy) the schools were teaching the kids that the Holocaust was a myth.

“Why are people in Washington state so stupid?”

Because enough socialists move here to destroy the voting demographics. That and the dope-addled hippies got vote on the marijuana issue.

My friends and I solved this at breakfast yesterday. Put a tariff on the smoke from Canada and California. Might as well throw Mississippi in for good measure.

Folks in Spokane need to stop breathing. That would fix a lot of problems.

Modern coal power plants are clean and smokeless. What people think is "smoke" is really water vapor, i.e. the same as clouds.

Whay are people in Washington stte so stupid.
There are plenty of smart, decent people in Washington State however King County and Seattle tend to control the vote - and the counting of votes when they deem it necessary to steal an election.
I wouldn't call anyone stupid after posting that first sentence.

“Why are people in Washington state so stupid?”

It’s mainly the three counties with the largest population. I’ve lived here for 72 years and it hasn’t always been this way. If Eastern Washington could be a separate state or join with Eastern Oregon to form one big state, things would probably change.
The influx of Californians has had a big part in turning us to a cesspool as well.

You are exactly correct. They turned their former nest into a cesspool. And, then they turn where ever they go into one as well. It is in their liberal DNA. They know no different.

Again, the article references CO2 as a problem. Once again, CO2 is .00345% of the air we breathe. That is 345 ten-thousandths of a percent of the one percent that is left after the 78% nitrogen and the 21% oxygen in the air we breathe.

Furthermore, plants of all kinds need that 345 ten-thousandths of a percent to live.

“Once again, CO2 is .00345% of the air we breathe. “

CO2 is 350 ppm (around 400ppm now, to be exact), that is 0.035%. You put a zero too much.

One ppm of CO2 is priced now by the Goebels warming industry at more than 1 trillion $.
That means a lot of money... for a number without any meaning.
