Yes it is a state prison, but with some of the USA’s worst criminals.......Im sure they would be on fudge packing duty.
Darn paywall.
I would love to read this article. The Wall Street Journal Editorials are conservative and well researched. I am sure this is a great article. Maybe Breitbart or someone will get permission to reprint it. I would love to read it.
Great find. Thanks for posting it.
So now Glenn Simpson is caught red-handed lying to the FBI, and nobody in this mess has been put in jail for that. Take a photo inside your submarine and you do hard time.
I hate my government.

14 Jan 2017: Daily Mail: Meet the espionage firm which ordered Trump ‘dirty dossier’ - a secretive D.C. firm which has aided Planned Parenthood and attacked Mitt Romney’s friends
By Alana Goodman
Fusion GPS is run by three former Wall Street Journal reporters: Glenn Simpson; Tom Catan; and Peter Fritsch.
Simpson was educated at George Washington University, and worked for Roll Call in Washington and the Wall Street Journal.
***He left there in 2009, and later spoke of his discontent at the paper after it was bought by Rupert Murdoch...

That's what Victoria Toensing said and I think she is correct. Where did you hear about this?
another example of the FakeNewsMSM swamp:
Shailagh is married to FusionGPS’s Neil King Jr:
Wikipedia: Shailagh Murray
Shailagh Jane Murray is an American political aide and former journalist who served as a Senior Advisor to U.S. President Barack Obama. She previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director for Vice President Joe Biden. She is married to Neil King Jr., currently employed by Fusion GPS, the same entity who delivered the Trump dossier and was the former global economics editor for The Wall Street Journal.
Mr. King was the deputy Washington bureau chief of The Wall Street Journal at the time of her Senior Advisor appointment...
Murray worked for The Wall Street Journal from 1999 to 2005...then became Capitol Hill correspondent for The Washington Post, covering the elections of 2006, 2008 and 2010...
She joined the Office of the Vice President in 2011 as Communications Director and was later promoted to Deputy Chief of Staff...
In March 2015, she was named as the successor to Dan Pfeiffer as Senior Advisor to the President with a communications portfolio.

there shall be no conservative media. we at FakeNewsMSM have “no agenda”!
2010: Columbia Journalism Review: At the WSJ, A Question of Trust
The real issue in the Kagan softball dustup: The paper has lost credibility in the Murdoch era
By Ryan Chittum
As News Corp. has consolidated its control of the paper they have increasingly come to demand enterprise journalism that serves the interest and viewpoints of the News Corp. management, Glenn Simpson said. The upper ranks are now dominated by conservative and partisan editors who arent shy about making their views known.
Simpson is the respected former Wall Street Journal investigative reporter, and that quote is from former WSJer Sarah Ellisons new book War at The Wall Street Journal, which is recently out (and which you should go buy!)...
I worked at the paper for nearly six years in the pre-Murdoch era. Call me naive, but I never saw a political agenda one way or the other under Paul Steiger, Marcus Brauchli, and Peter Kann. I thought we were the most scrupulously non-partisan paper in the country (for better or for worse)...

21 Jun 2017: Tablet Mag: Lee Smith: Fusion GPS Illuminates the Brave New World of Manufactured News for Hire
After Clintons surprise loss, the dossier became public, and its claimswhile still unverifiedhave shaped the American public sphere ever since...
Fusion GPS is the story of a few journalists who decided to stop being suckers. Theyre not buyers of information, theyre sellers...
Fusion GPS was founded in 2009before the social media wave destroyed most of the remaining structures of 20th-century American journalismby two Wall Street Journal reporters, Glenn Simpson and Peter Fritsch. They picked up former colleagues from the Journal, Tom Catan, and Neil King, Jr., who were also well-respected by their peers...
Simpson was one of the top terror-finance investigative reporters in the field, says one Washington-based journalist, who knows Simpson professionally and personally, and who asked for anonymity in discussing a former reporter. He got disillusioned when Rupert Murdoch took over the Journal because there was less room for the kind of long-form investigative journalism he thrived on.
And now, says the journalist, theyre guns for hire...
The Obama White House turned the press into an instrument used not only to promote its initiatives, but also to drown out and threaten and shame critics and potential opponents, even within the presidents own party...
There is no accurate accounting of how many of the stories you read in the news are the fruit of opposition research, because no journalist wants to admit how many of their top sources are just information packagerswhich is why the blinding success of Fusion GPS is the least-covered media story in America right now. Theres plenty of oppo research on the right, but most of it comes from the left. Thats not because Republicans are more virtuous than Democrats and look for dirt less than their rivals do. Nor conversely is it because Republicans make a richer subject for opposition research because theyre so much more corrupt. Nope, its simple arithmetic: Most journalists lean to the left, and so do the majority of career officials who staff the federal government. There are more sounding boards on the left, and more sources. Its not ideological, its business...
Thus, most of Fusion GPSs contracts seem to come from the leftexcept for its most famous project, the Russia dossier. Before it was passed on to the Democrats, it started on the right...
From humble beginnings, it has taken on the shape of a modern-day legend...
The Trump-Russia story has frequently been likened to Watergate, a specious comparison since the latter started with evidence of a crime and the former with publication of an anthology of fables, pornography, and Russian-sourced disinformation put together and distributed by partisan political operatives. The salient comparison is rather in the effectit has the same feel as Watergate. And its taking up the same space as Watergateand thats because comms shops-for-hire like Fusion GPS have assumed the role that the American press used to occupy.

.
For sure!
Cleta Mitchell must sue NOW/Immediately, all those involved in the smear campaign against her. She can sue Glen Simpson as an individual and FusionGPS as an organization, as well as anyone else she can link to this smear job, for defamation of character, slander, libel, and variations thereof for loss of reputation, loss of potential work cases, etc. (DNC as financier, Hillary Clinton as DNC official, as Dossier financier, Nellie Ohr and her husband, possibly Michael Isikoff (and Yahoo news) and longtime pinko David Corn, plus anyone else in that food chain from Steele to Simpson and outward.
She should write up the filing right now, send it immediately to the appropriate court, waive interrogatories (if it will speed up a court date) and go straight for depositions ASAP. Also ask the court for an expedited court date after the 30 days Interrogatory/Deposition legally required deadlines.
If she can get anything in writing from Simpson and the others known or as “John and Jane Does”, esp. in Interrogatory form which has to be answered in a quick fashion (as opposed to squabbling over Deposition dates and conditions), within the next month, then she can file for Depositions in October and have them made public (if the law allows it) before the November elections.
Time is of the essence here, but Mitchell holds one potential devastating key to “Dossiergate”, the “Smear Chain”. She might even be able to sue Rep. Schiff for Brains and/or his staff.
It is time to take the legal offensive and Mitchell is the woman to do it.
NOW IS THE TIME TO DO IT! After Nov. 4th or so, nobody will give a crap.
Shailagh Murray’s spouse left WSJ before Trump’s inauguration:
15 Dec 2016: TalkingBizNews: Global economics editor King among those leaving WSJ
by Chris Roush
Neil King, The Wall Street Journals global economics editor, is among those leaving the newspaper this week via a buyout offer...
On Facebook, King wrote, The Journal was and still is (though maybe slightly less than it was) a thing of beauty. And helping add a drop or two to that beauty was a joy. As Ive said to a few folks lately, Im sad to be leaving but glad to be going....
King has worked for 15 years in the Journals Washington bureau...

28 Oct 2017: Daily Caller: CNNs Undisclosed Ties To Fusion GPS
by Chuck Ross and Peter Hasson
CNNs reporting on the Trump-Russia dossier has left out at least one crucial fact: the close ties between the network and the opposition research firm at the center of the dossier controversy.
CNNs reporting on the dossier, led by justice correspondent Evan Perez, has been favorable to the firm, Fusion GPS, and hyped the dossiers credibility. Left out of Perezs reporting, which has relied largely on unnamed sources, is his personal closeness to Fusion GPS operatives...
Glenn Simpson, the Fusion co-founder most often associated with the dossier, is used to working on stories with Perez. As reporters at The Wall Street Journal, Perez and Simpson regularly co-authored stories on national security.
Another Fusion founder, Tom Catan, worked as a reporter for the Journal at the same time as Perez and Simpson. The third Fusion co-founder, Peter Fritsch, worked above Perez and Simpson as the senior national security editor...
Simpson and Fritsch left the WSJ in 2011 to launch Fusion. Perez jumped from the paper to CNN in 2013. Another longtime Journal reporter, Neil King, left the paper to join Fusion in December 2016.
Photos posted to Facebook underscore the personal closeness between Perez and the Fusion GPS operatives. One photo posted by Perez shows King, who left the Journal for Fusion in December 2016, and another man posing for a picture at The Bullpen, an outdoor bar right outside of the Washington Nationals stadium...
Another photo, from September 2015, shows Perez, King and Fusion co-founder Peter Fritsch...
At no point in Perezs reporting did he disclose his close ties to the Fusion GPS operatives...
The Wall Street Journals editorial board sounded the alarm about its former reporters in a remarkable editorial earlier this month, accusing Beltway media of being complicit in a coverup with Fusion. Americans dont need a Justice Department coverup abetted by Glenn Simpsons media buddies, the editors wrote in a scathing takedown of the firm...

March 2015: OregonLive: Obama’s pick for adviser may signal end of White House’s insularity
by Dana Milbank, Washington Post
In the early days of the Obama administration, my Washington Post colleague Shailagh Murray and I used to trade tales of the arrogance of White House officials more interested in their insular club and the prestige of their positions than in the responsibility they had.
“They think they’re in the movie of their job,” she liked to say, and she was right: They acted as if they were playing themselves in “The West Wing.”
So it was with delight that I learned while vacationing this week that Murray had been named to the very highest level of officialdom in the White House. President Obama appointed her senior adviser to the president, filling a position held over the past decade by Karl Rove, David Axelrod, David Plouffe and, most recently, Dan Pfeiffer...
I met Murray 20 years ago when she and her husband Neil King, now deputy Washington bureau chief of The Wall Street Journal, wrote for the Journal from Prague and I was a Journal correspondent in London. I later helped bring her to the Post...

WSJ’s web service is affordable. I’ve had it for years.
Bruce Ohr will not bring ANYONE down!! The Republicans always snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!
Someone who has been personally damaged by Glenn Simpson, like this lady, needs to sue the ever lovin’ sh*t out of Glenn/GPS. The discovery process with records revealed would be a gold mine and much more effective than government subpoenas which take forever and are oft times negotiated to exclude the good stuff.
I stopped watching the WSJ TV show when their entire cast in unison demanded amnesty. Maybe they considered that a “conservative” position.
