Republicans Shut Down Cory Booker’s ‘Grandstanding’ on Confidential Docs With Sick Burns

At today’s third and final day of Judge Brett Kavanaugh‘s appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee, once again the argument over the quantity and origin of documents erupted, and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) faced off for a third day. As Booker delivered a lengthy set of remarks about his own actions, Grassley sharply smacked him as self-aggrandizing.

Sen. Booker stated that he was going to release to the public one of the documents deemed confidential, despite the fact that this would violate rules. And then he said it again. And then some more.

Sir, I come from a long line, as all of us do as Americans, understanding the consequences of civil disobedience. I am, right now, before your process is finished, I am going to release the email about racial profiling.

“I knowingly violated the rules that wer put forth, and I’m told that the committee confidential rules have knowing consequences,” said Booker. “So, sir, I come from a long line, as all of us do as Americans, understanding what that kind civil disobedience is, and I understand the consequences. So I am, right now, before your process is finished, I am going to release the email about racial profiling, and I understand that the penalty comes with potential ousting from the Senate. And if Senator Cornyn believes that I have violated Senate rules, I openly invite and accept the consequences of my team releasing that email right now. And I am releasing it to expose that number one those emails are being withheld from the public have nothing to do the national security. Nothing to jeopardize the sanctity of those ideals that I hold dear. Instead, what I am releasing this document right now to show, sir, is that we have a process here for a person — the highest office in the land, for a lifetime appointment. We are rushing through this before me and my colleagues can even read and digest the information. And I –”

“Can I ask you how long you’re going to say the same thing three or four times?” Grassley finally interrupted.

“No, sir, I’m saying, I’m saying I’m knowingly violating the rules, Senator Corny’s called me out for it–” Booker went on.

“Okay, how many times are you going to tell us that?” said Grassley.

“I’m saying right now that I’m releasing committee confidential documents,” Booker said again.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) took a swipe at Booker as well, saying that “running for President” is no excuse for violating confidentiality.

Ouch.

It went on from there. Watch the clip above, courtesy of Fox News.

What “shutdown”? I saw nothing but a couple of lukewarm comeback questions/comments that accomplished nothing.

Apparently drama queen Booker had made an agreement with Senator Mike Lee that the email in question was okay to release, that agreement happened last night. Booker knew he wasn’t in jeopardy by releasing the email, he is SO FULL OF SH*T his sh*t is full of sh*t—fake fake “courage” on display.

Queen Corey knows that at least 20 Rat Tards are going to be running for POTUS in 2020, he’s trying to set himself apart. What a stupid dipsh*t.

The document was no longer confidential when he released it, the committee was preparing to release it as part of a document dump, which happened within the hour.

Booker knew this, the democrats asked to have a bunch of e-mails released, and the committee ended up releasing all of them.

Republicans won’t do a damn thing about it.

Black privilege. Rules don't apply to them.

Maybe, but not for douche-baggery, unfortunately.

That's because Republicans have a party rule that anybody in leadership must step down from their leadership role if they are under investigation.

Democrats have no such rule for their party. This is why people like Tom Delay were indicted on bogus charges, in order to use Republican rules against them.

Corey is mulatto, or as blacks say, “High Yaller”

I’m Hispanic, my skin is probably darker than his.
