The proper answer is to find what Jeff Flake cares about, and apply pressure to it. This is what the Senate leadership should do. Grab him by the short and curlies. Guarantee he has something dirty in his past, some woman he’s hit on, or goals for future employment. Time to play hardball.

If Cruz has 100% confidence in Kavanaugh, then he will eagerly participate in the hearing and it will help Kav and himself, as well.

But, These absurd last minute accusations delegitimize the entire process of judicial selection and elections. It’s got to stop.
