Texas Republicans John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, both influential figures on the Judiciary Committee, were among those calling for the allegations to be taken seriously.
Cruz said Ford should have a “full opportunity to tell her story before the Judiciary Committee, and Judge Kavanaugh should have a full opportunity to defend himself.”

Cruz should do a stellar job of dismantling Ford like a surgeon. The Dems will regret going this route.

I think we will see the hearings, because then we can say, she had every opportunity to tell her story, etc.
If they had held to the schedule and voted on Thursday, then the liberals would have cried foul, that she didn’t get her day in court and all that sort of thing.
Yes I know it’s not a court of law, but, then again, she never sought any legal redress. But then again, she and her liberal attorney can concoct her story over the next week.
I do hope some on our side will ask some tough questions, such as why Feinstein sat on this for months. If sexual assault and harrassment and all that are such penultimate issues, especially in this me too era, then why the hell did Feinstein sit on it? Aspects of this case such as that, deserve discussion too, not just someone coming out 35 years later saying he did something to her.

How exactly does he do that? It’s more like defending yourself from a Liberal Wet Dream.
That's what I was thinking. Plus, they NEED to have this woman testify, so Kavanaugh publicly gets to say that this is not true and the other guy she said was there, can give his denial.
Her story has so many holes.......even I could drive a mack truck through it.

Actually it is true that we absolutely need Cruz and all others due to the tight situation on every vote in the Senate.
When the day ever comes the Dems have level headed bipartisan members we won’t but the year 3000 is so far away we can’t wait for that.
I think the GOP is thinking this way. This is another prime opportunity to hurt and embarrass the Democrats. With Trump’s release of the FISA documentation it only puts more pressure on the Dems. They will F things up guaranteed. Pop the popcorn and have fun.
They’re going to make an example of her. This crap won’t stop until the individuals making these bogus claims are held accountable.
