The latest on the Supreme Court confirmation saga of Judge Brett Kavanaugh is a doozy, according to this headline from the Washington Post: "Woman who accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault wants FBI to investigate incident before she testifies to Senate."
That's because it represents yet another effort to move the goalposts in wrapping up this nomination for the Supreme Court. They've done that a lot, something like four times. None of us is dumb. We all know that the Democrats' plan is to run out the clock on the nomination and hope the Senate shifts to the Democrats at the midterms to ensure that only a leftist can be seated on the high court. If that means ruining an innocent man's life with an unprovable charge, well, that's something the left's comfortable with, because Kavanaugh is a Republican, and not just any Republican, but the worst kind in their books: a Trump nominee.

If she really had a case against Kavanaugh, she would testify under oath and allow cross examination.

It would be real helpful if a spokesperson for the FBI produced a statement saying:
Nothing that Ford has ALLEGED is considered a crime in federal statutes. The FBI only investigates federal crimes or crimes against certain federal officials and only when such crimes constitute an act of terrorism, blah blah blah. Otherwise, investigations are turned over to the US Capitol Police for incidents that occur within the boundaries of the Capitol or to DC Metro Police for everything else. Ford should be taking the reporting of this incident up with local law enforcement. So, for the third and final time, the allegations do not rise to the level of any violation of a federal statute and the FBI and DOJ will NOT be investigating anything related to this matter. Thank you and have a nice day. God Bless America.
They’re trying to undertake a trial in the same format that’s used in university rape court proceedings. The accused can’t confront his accuser, the accused can’t be present when evidence against him is presented, the accused can’t question the accuser, the accused isn’t told exactly what the charges are. Of course, the verdict is a foregone conclusion.

That’s the reality of the situation, and it will always be.. GOP need to gain senate seats and purge more corker and flake folks so the 40-50 year grand left wing insanity at the supreme court comes to an end, at least for 30 or 40 more years.
What is there to investigate other than what she has to say? There is no other evidence to examine. Sad.

The goalposts have always been “Roe V Wade”. The message-of-the-week changes based on which play they think will get them closer to the goalpost this week. They called “Hail Mary to Ford” this week but they still have the ball until Rs tell them to take the bench.

someone needed to come forward and accuse Neil Gorsuch of rape to derail his SCOTUS nomination. She further said such accusations should continue until Trump nominates Merrick Garland.
Looks like she decided to take her own advice.
