Wow. Imagine the firestorm if a Republican had said this. Imagine if President Trump made this comment...it would be the top story on CNN and MSNBC for a week.

Here’s the general issue. If ICE suddenly started showing up at cotton gins around Texas, Miss, Ala, or Louisiana...the bulk of the employees (mostly all illegals) would suddenly leave and the gins would be shut down for a week (extremely painful for cotton farms to handle) while the gin managers go and look for replacement employees. Most of these illegals? All paid $3 to $5 less than a regular employee.

I used to frequent a breakfast restaurant in Arlington, VA...which had six to ten guys in the back doing most of the work. The cashier and manager were gringos. The shop survived with reasonable prices because they were using illegals...probably making $3 to $5 less than legal employees of the region.

This is the way that the nation now functions, and a majority of people accept this as being normal. If they were all forced to only legal employees, then the cost factor across the nation would go quickly up and you’d see a high number of black youths hired, with the minimum wage going to a realistic ‘balance’. If you can’t find enough employees in a region....you up your salary structure.

told a black American who questioned his support of illegal immigration that illegal aliens from Central America and Mexico are today’s cotton pickers

OK, let's go with that analogy - the answer the Americans of the past came up with to resolve this was to ban the importation of slaves and later to end slavery altogether and force slave owners to pay wages for their labor. If "Beta" believes his own words, he should back the immediate building of a border wall to stop the importation of these modern day cotton pickers and stop their exploitation by employers looking to replace American workers with cheap, illegal labor.

The cotton gin was an innovation that made a lot of slave labor obsolete. Beto doesn’t know what a cotton gin is. He’s a moron.

What Beta doesn’t seem to know is there is an H1A visa which allows an UNLIMITED number of LEGALS to come in to do agri work.

I had a discussion with a black guy about a year ago regarding illegals. He had no issue with illegals doing jobs he claimed American citizens wouldn’t. I asked him why he favored illegals. His response was pay. It cost less. I responded regarding the studies that they wind up costing the American society far more than they save. After about ten minutes of going around and around with him, basically it boiled down to he was in favor of a permanent underclass akin to slave labor. Interesting position coming from a black person.

And this is the dirty little secret about illegal immigration. It’s the new Democrat method of providing slave labor. Bring them here in droves, put them up in barracks, feed and clothe them with a “company store” mentality, and push them to vote en-mass for candidates of the left’s choosing.

Not much has changed, has it?

A coworker of mine is a 75 year old southen gentleman. He’s a delight to talk too. He says he’s picked both cotton as well as tobacco. Neither sounded like much fun. He said he’d much rather work tobacco fields than cotton
