Nothing Mitch has said about this nomination has been false. I give him props for always following through on what he says about senate confirmations. If he says this week, it’s this week. This gives me great comfort. Not a Mitch fan, but give credit where credit is due.

Ugly truth of the matter is, Collins and Murkowski likely held him up for more pork in exchange for yes votes. It’s how things are done there.

It's no coincidence that McConnell declares a spine after Trump showed everyone what one looks like this morning.
Spine envy. Trump didn't pussy-foot about today. I can still say "pussy-foot", right?

Lately, as you say, credit where credit is due. Who knows what McConnell had to do to get to 50, but . . .
Could he even have cut a deal with Manchin?

He understands their importance and has led more judicial confirmations through the Senate than at any time in recent history. If Mitch says there will be a vote, up or down on Kavanaugh this week I'm betting it happens.

Exactly. People seem to forget McConnells work on getting 68 judges confirmed thus far. Hell get it done.

Mitch also said the vote would be LAST WEEK. So he didn’t “follow through” on anything, except delay. He ought to have taken it out of subcommittee and brought to a floor vote last week. He’s supposed to run the Senate, and it’s exactly what Harry Reid would have done
