Kavanaugh clerk hire casts light on link to judge forced to quit in #MeToo era [HEADS UP]

….“People were warned about Kozinski, that he was sexually gross,” said one former law clerk who served for a judge who worked in close proximity to Kozinski. “But they traded in their life for a year so that they could get a Kennedy clerkship, and then you are set for life.” He was referring to Kozinski’s role as a “feeder” judge who vetted clerks for supreme court justice Anthony Kennedy. “Eventually, Kavanaugh had his own authority, also as a judge, to do something, and he didn’t.” Kavanaugh’s relationship with Kozinski began in the early 1990s. As a top student at Yale law school, Kavanaugh had competed with another classmate, Alex Azar – a friend who is now secretary of health in the Trump administration – for a Kozinski clerkship....Azar’s social circle at the time included Kavanaugh, who he has called a good friend, and Christopher Wray, now director of the FBI...

Did you notice how many names were mentioned in this article? We were joking yesterday about wanting to look at some judges ourselves, but it appears the Commies are in front of us, and have gone full-on 'guilty by six degrees of separation' - all the way to the FBI.

“Eventually, Kavanaugh had his own authority, also as a judge, to do something, and he didn’t.”

I think the author is referring to Kavanaugh's authority to do something about Judge Kozinski's misbehavior. However, Kavanaugh also had the authority to abuse his position. I'm certain that, if he had done so, we would have heard of it by now. Kavanaugh is as clean as it gets. Based on his adult conduct, we know he's a good man. That's one of many reasons I dismiss the over-the-top claims from the left

Note: While I was attending a top-tier university, one of my professors had a reputation for inappropriate behavior with female students. I naively assumed it was casual flirtation, and I didn't realize his conduct crossed the line well beyond that level until it became a major scandal. Kavanaugh could easily have made the same error, attributing his own decency to others - until he learned just how evil those on the left can be.

I have an ex friend who says it is ok to accuse someone if it can impeach President Trump. She accused her husband of sexually assaulting their daughter to get a divorce.
Sick.

To us folks in the real world, the problem isn't Kavanaugh. The problem is that power in DC is incestuous. Way too many of these people grew up together, went to the same elite high schools, and partied together in the same college dorms. They're not independent folks doing what's best for us.

President Trump doesn't drink and went to a military HS. One can't help but wonder just how unamused he is learning about the bad habits of all these folks.

Another thought (thinking as I type, can be dangerous. <^..^>) Have any of the Supreme Court Justices served in the military? Might provide some interesting balance. How about a judge who was brought up in rural Kansas (or somewhere like that), commuted to college and law school, and had to get home to milk the cows?

Sure, he’s planting that seed. All spun from Kavanaugh hiring someone’s son. And, no doubt the connections implied, no matter how weak, will be exploited by the logic challenged talking heads. Juiced up with a few more insinuations of rampant toxic male darkness to tease the vampires and frighten the children.

“Kavanaugh had the authority to do something.. but he didn’t.”

Do what?? Fire someone because someone thinks he’s sexually gross?

Planting that seed is right so they can start beating their toms toms to drum up more BS.

The article was about Judge Kozinski and his alleged misdeeds. No where did I see any proof Judge K was guilty of anything. He hired the man’s son so what’s the crime in that. Sounds more like a compassionate hire since the kid was likely caught up in the ‘crimes of the father’ and probably wouldn’t have gotten a chance anywhere else.

“but also the children of powerful friends and allies.”

So what? People in the real world would probably take a chance on a friend’s child as an employee especially if they were familiar with their character and upbringing. It happens even in small town rural America and I don’t think it qualifies as a crime.

So if I read the article correctly, Judge Kozinski was Judge Kavanaugh’s boss?

Good point...President Trump must be aghast at the true nature of Washington, DC. He stated that very clearly on his call to Rush Limbaugh on August 1: “...some in DC are ‘evil’” and “You have a lot of bad people in Washington.”

His opinion has probably evolved since then.

Even if Kavanaugh is confirmed, the Democrats have already won one of their main objectives. We have been talking about Kavanaugh for the last 3 weeks and not the tremendous accomplishments of Trump’s economy. He has managed the new trade deals with Canada and Mexico, and yet he has to take back the presser by force because the narrative is focused on the Judge. Hmmm..The Senate Republicans surely understand this, so they are going to have to announce the vote and DO IT. Keep coming back to the economy whenever they try to force them back to Kavanaugh. This is why Trump would not let the reporters take over yesterday - he forced them to ask the questions he wanted to answer, which, of course, was the actual news.

When your employment is all you worry about, you don’t see the trees in the forest; Judge K was not overly concerned with this guy and once he got his chance to Clerk I am sure he put 110% of his efforts into clerking and never strayed from his judicial taskings.

K was BK’s boss for just under a year. Azar had the internship for six weeks but had to withdraw and BK got the slot. I would imagine the life of an intern would be 22 hours of work and 2 hours of sleep - maybe not that bad, but certainly too busy and too tiring to spend much time with, or gossiping about, office politics.

You read an article like this, with all of those names mentioned as you say, and you realize that what they are doing now is that they can’t find a direct smoking gun concerning definitive proof of bad behaviour from Kavanaugh, but they will mention people he associated with who might likely had these sorts of reputations for sure. And then the gossip and innuendo makes this newsworthy.

After a while, you can pretend that you are Bill Kurtis from the A&E show “Investigative Reports” and begin to have in your mind a very dismal portrait of women academics and professors in about mid age and that a number of these were actually quite very promiscuous back in the days of “Revenge of the Nerds” or “Fraternity Vacation”. And how in turn they are tied to Democrat operatives and lawyers and (as always the steady backbeat) the money and the media.

So the whole implication against BK is he didn’t go over his bosses head and report him EVEN IF YOU COULD PROVE BK WAS EVEN AWARE OF WHAT WAS GOING ON.

I don’t think going over the bosses head has ever worked out well for a Clinton employee.
