Families were allowed to reunite Saturday at the U.S. Mexico border for a brief couple of minutes thanks to the Border Network for Human Rights.
The event titled 'Hugs, Not Walls' allows for those across the border to meet with their families in the U.S. without having to worry about immigration status.

Another attempt by media to make ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION seem normal.
They could be reunited in Mexico, too.
Why?
None of us returning from the Caribbean or Europe get to bypass passport control or customs because of their emotional impact.
This is a nauseating example of noblesse oblige in which snooty Americans do Third Worlders a 'favor' and expect the Mexican to kiss their feet in gratitude.
I would think joining them up for a day knowing they had to go back would be even more emotionally wrenching for them.
