you are eating possibly hundreds of aphids and thrips with each bite. I typically steam my broccoli in the microwave; I'm pretty sure any aphids and thrip are zapped into steam long before I eat.

At a factory I once worked at, we used a lot of adhesives. Sometimes they gave us lot’s of headaches. (Variances in viscosity or set time, EPA and OSHA regs, etc.) The Office Manager responded one day by saying someone should research using “bug juice” as an adhesive, since it sticks so well to cars.
