RE:”
Before the 180 participants in the study were offered a chocolate truffle filled with mealworms, half of the group were given a flyer saying that eating insects was good for them and the environment, while the other half were told the insects were either delicious or trendy to eat.
About 62% of those given health or environmental incentives chose to eat the truffle, compared with 76% who ate the truffle after being told it would taste good or make them trendy. And the latter group rated the truffle as tastier.
The researchers concluded that we need to switch the message about saving the planet from altruism to pleasure. They back up their argument with previous studies showing that attitudes based on emotions are more malleable than those grounded in rational claims.” More people chose to eat the bugs when they were told it was trendy, versus being told they were healthy and eating them would save the planet.

Eating insects to save the earth is a new preposterously silly notion that I appreciate reading! Especially since I thought I could no longer be shocked by these people and their antics.

I’m eating more cow and pig, so the commies need to triple up on the bugs due to my portion being zero.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Expand the concept of ‘insect’ to crabs and lobsters - and I’m in.

Another “Save The Planet” Article
The Planet does not need saving
It will do just fine, at least until the Sun blows up
What they want to save is their own worthless hides
The want to “Save The Planet” for Themselves
They are demanding Immortality
Sorry, It’s not in the cards,
unless you surrender to Jesus

The dims can eat my share of bugs, I will eat beef, pork, chicken and whatever else I decide to eat.
They need to set it up like they did carbon credits so they could keep their mansions by using the credits of those living in huts. I will keep my meat credits and take any of theirs they don’t need.

I am at the top of the food chain....why would I resort to eating roaches, and worms so some cow will release less farts and keep the temp down?
Speaking of cows, I think we are having burgers for lunch.

Warmer (increased CO

Those on a diet can try mosquito soufflee

Ah, they're already doing it in much of the world. Ants and crickets are known delicacies in certain parts of the world (inago no tsukudani in Nagano Prefecture in Japan and chapulines in Oaxaca state in Mexico).

What if we feed the global warming people to insects. That seems more fair. If we feed them all to the bugs then I bet we solve global warming. They will quit bringing it up.

No. Rather see us remove 30-60 million illegals here in the US to reduce our “local” challenges. Then, shut down business with China and India so they shut down their polluting businesses.
