I didn’t get the plastic around it, because I don’t know where hubby keeps it and he was busy all day. Will probably try tomorrow. I think they are cuddled up together in the shed for the moment. I think they also feel safer in there.

That was a very fast-moving cold front, so I’ll bet it wont be long till it’s frigid there, too. Switching from cotton to flannel PJs helped keep the chill away. Peaches isn’t making a move to go outside tonight. LOL!

Hey radu, good weekend, I helped Robin do a bit of yard work and fertilized the lawn, as the city's irrigation is being turned off for the winter, so one more watering. Then hung out with son and the pups for awhile.

Can't remember what else I did but it must of been OK, LOL.

Real nice, clear afternoons here after crisp mornings.

Wassup today with you and what the heck is AEDC?

Before it was Arnold AF Base, it was Camp Peay, later named Camp Forrest. It was one of the Army's largest training bases during World War II. It was an active Army post between 1941 and 1946. It officially became a prisoner of war camp May 12, 1942. The camp housed Italian and German POWs. Prisoners became laborers at Camp Forrest in the hospitals and on farms in the local community. Some of the prisoners worked on the farm where we live. They liked it because Hubby’s grandparents were Germans and they loved his grandmother’s German cooking. :-)

In the second link, there are a few images of the camp. The second one shows the hutments the prisoners lived in. One of those hutments is on the farm now, just behind the house. When Camp Forrest closed, they sold many of the buildings to whoever wanted them and my F-I-L bought the hutment and two other buildings.

You could have just used Saran Wrap. All you need is something that will keep the wind from blowing through those little holes.
But if they’re all in the shed tonight, they’ll be ok.

Yes, it’s been moving across pretty fast alright. Temps are dropping quickly as it comes through here. It was 75 degrees when I was out doing a few errands late this afternoon and it’s 57 now. It’s not going to get as cold here as it has down there though. Weird, huh?

Sounds like your weekend was a good one, alright. Nice that you had pretty weather since you were outside so much.

It was sunny for a while Saturday and that brought a lot of folks out and about. We had a BUSY day at the museum.
But it’s been gloomy ever since, though comfortably warm. Now it’s getting chilly again.

AEDC is Arnold Engineering Development Center. Arnold AF Base has always been a large R&D center with a small number of AF personnel.

WOW! No, I hadn’t seen this yet.

If I was rich, I’d buy a copy of all of his paintings. He’s such a talented artist and his subject matter is always on target.
Sadly, I’m not. *sigh*

I thought about saran wrap but figured the little buggers would shred it in no time. I want to put some heavier stuff around it. Oh, well.

It was amazing how fast the temp dropped here so I’m sure it will there, too. Is the wind howling a lot? Will it rain? Are y’all still planning the event in a tent on Wednesday? Better bundle up!

I do seem to remember that we do know someone in Tennessee.

It is raining here and supposed to last all night.

They probably won’t bother Saran Wrap any more than they’d bother another type of plastic. If you put the towel over it and clamp it down so the wind won’t blow it off, they won’t even know it’s there any way.

Our morning low will only be in the mid 40s and the high will be in the mid to upper 50s tomorrow. Like I said, it isn’t going to be as cold here this week. Wed. will be back in the mid to upper 60s and sunny.

The rain with the front has stayed north of us. We had a couple of sprinkles this afternoon but it looked like maybe one drop made it into the rain gauge when I dumped it a couple of minutes ago. LOL
The wind has been blowing but not really howling. Just hard enough to make it feel pretty nippy outside right now.

Yes, we’ll have the tent up at the polling station for the duration of early voting, as we did in August for the primaries. It has nylon sides we can connect to the frame for walls to block any wind or rain. We’re ready for whatever’s thrown at us. :-)

Good evening, radu...we’re coming to visit you.

Is it dry? Rain started about 7p and is supposed to go all night and then most of the day.

Welcome to our fair area! It’s a unique base, being a R&D center. And the land it’s on has an interesting history, having been a huge training base and all during WWII.

It’s been gloomy and damp all day though we only had a couple of brief sprinkles here. It was fairly warm but is cooling off now that the cold front is moving through.

I hope it stays warm enough overnight that your rain doesn’t change over to sleet or snow!

Today wasn’t half bad...I got almost nothing done on my own list. Spent most of the day working on tickets...the new system. Instead of just sending us an email, they have to send to the ticket system. Then we have to go in, open and find which is for who, work it, and then close the ticket. (which I cannot do...I send the boss an email asking her to close the ticket) We all hate it...makes a simple issue take twice, at least, as long. *sigh* and my computer, of course doesn’t have all the right buttons. The boss called and I had to share my screen with her. Half the things she told me to do drew an “oh sh*t” response...”you don’t have that button” or “you don’t have that option”. So I took the opportunity to complain about how long it takes, ultimately leaving our regular work short changed. Then she said that with NO overtime this is the only way to show we are understaffed....the ticket list gets longer....and we get grumpier! Hmmmm...we will see.
