The auto-correct on my phone drives me nuts. I gotta check on how to turn it off. It constantly takes a correct spelling I make and changes it to some unrelated word that I never intended and makes no sense in the context.

Do you have any clue as to how much gamma energy is released when a single Cesium 137 particle decays into its daughter particle?
I bet not.
Go ahead: Keep eating Pacific fish. /s
Dispersion is not “dilution”.

Let’s see. Art Bell would have that guy on that would predict earthquakes.
He’d say a tidal foot of seawater per mi2 is a million tons.
BTB, the third largest source of natural background radiation is from a potassium isotope.

Correct me if I am wrong. Doesn’t the fukushima radioactive material have a short half life?

Correct me if I am wrong. Doesnt the fukushima radioactive material have a short half life? Then why flush it now?!
Why not first wait another, say, three half-lifes, allowing the radioactivity to drop to one-eighths - and then release it?!

If they run it through a good filter I don’t see an issue. Water doesn’t store radiation the contaminants do.

You are correct.
Ba 137 decay is a nasty gamma emitter.

That will be 1 million out of 779,790,000,000,000 million tons of water in the Pacific Ocean.
The REAL science queastion is the rate of the dispersal of the waste water around the Pacific and by how many factors will the severity of its radioactivity be reduced, in what time frame.
