House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) said in an interview with CBS This Morning that he feels pretty good about the Republicans hanging on to the majority in the House. Are Republicans going to keep the House? Host John Dickerson asked Ryan.
I think we are, Ryan said. I feel pretty good about it.
The interview came after Ryan, who is leaving Congress at the end of this session, joined Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) at a campaign stop at a defense manufacturing plant in her New York district.
Dickerson asked Ryan why he is optimistic about the midterms outcome.
I think our voter enthusiasm is where it needs to be, and more importantly, we have a great record to run on, Ryan said. The agenda that we ran on in 2016 is the agenda that we executed in 2017 and 2018, and its working.
The economy is booming, the military is being rebuilt, the Veterans Administration has been overhauled, Ryan said. We have de-regulated businesses so they can hire again.

Well, bye.
All those years as Speaker and this is the only time he seems to have tried to help other GOP members.
He never even stepped up to help Scott Walker.
His future in GOP politics is over.
Buh-bye, lil Paulie. Your words mean nothing. What kind of a lobbying position is that guy going to fall intp?

Note who he campaigns for, they are Cheap Labor Express stooges who need to be replaced next cycle.
This is the thing I think is being over looked. Croker-Ryan-Flake are just the tip of the Never Trumpers who quit Congress.
If the GOP holds, the next Congress will be a lot more Trump friendly then the current one.

Yes, and no thanks to you and despite your best efforts, you effin RINO anti Trumper.
Last night on Lou Dobbs, Ed Rollins said he thought that the Republicans would lose the House. He seems to be a level headed conservative, so I was pretty disappointed in his prediction. In the same interview, he said he thought the Senate was safe.
Doing everything he can to hand the house to Nana Piglosi while pretending to be fighting for a republican win.
Ryan’s future is on K Street.
The elephant in the room no one seems to notice is what happens if Republicans hold both houses? Democrats already announced their game plan for investigations, restoring all the taxes Trump cut and going after Trump and others and impeaching them.
What are the repercussions if Republicans hold or better, gain seats?
I don’t know if Ryan has always been a slimeball, but perhaps he’s just spent too much time with Romney. I hate to say it, but I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him.
Rollins changes with the wind. He stated on earlier programs that we can hold the House. Momentum is on our side.
That is an important point to remember, Trump will be working with people who want to complete his agenda.
“I think we are” going to keep the House. What is this “we” business? Do you mean Never-Trumpers and socialists?
Time for this alleged man to exit politics.

Just disappear Ryan. PLEASE.
I heard Hollywood is doing a casting call for a biographical movie on Eddie Munster.
Maybe you can audition.
I used to be a big fan of Ryan’s. He gets that we need to run on something, not just be against.
But, he has been such a disappointment the last few years.
