Classic Levin. When he omits the part of the quote that guts his argument - "...who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States..." you know he has nothing but bluster.

Classic Semimojo, spouting nonsense. Go to the audio provided in the link then flash forward to the 5:50 mark then LISTEN..........Sheesh!

I did listen and it only reinforced my point.

The controversy about the quote is how to interpret the odd punctuation - “...foreigners, aliens, who are...”

Many people, including me, interpret it as “foreigners, [that is] aliens, who are...”

Others think it should be “...foreigners, aliens, [ or] who are...”

That’s the whole debate in a nutshell and it’s a well known controversy.

Levin blows right by it, never acknowledging that it exists, and simply assumes that his interpretation is the only option.

It might make for good radio but it’s intellectually dishonest and a sign that he’s not confident in his argument.
