It’s funny ... and it’s tragic. Those kids have been robbed.

I believe that the ELDERLY of today were required to pass tests for entry into High School that today’s college graduates could barely, if at all, receive a passing grade.

True! I had to sit for a morning and afternoon entrance exam to get into a first class parochial high school. The public high schools took almost any 8th grade graduate but even then they had to do more than just show up most of the time and not 'do' one another in the halls. Most of them could even write cursive and read English. Times have changed.

Common Core sucked all the energy, money, and motivation right out of desperately needed potential reforms to U.S. public schools for a decade, and for nothing.

the goal of leftard education is not to increase knowledge, but instead to create a mass of ignorant, mindless, docile, obedient, dependent childlike, snowflake, parasites.

Yet another reason I’m glad that Jeb is now in force retirement. CommonCore was one of his pet projects.

Who could have seen this coming?

The same folks who got our kids in trouble before they came up with Common Core, have failed again. Now the media and the powers that be will be all a twitter about the next Leftist tactic. In five to seven years, they’ll reveal it to be a failure also.

Meanwhile, our kid’s education is going down down down down...

Along comes the Charter School advocates, to get kids out of the run of the mill public schools, and you’d think cannibals were going to get them the way the teacher’s unions and teachers depict it.

The teachers unions and the DoE have failed our kids.

It’s time to try something new.

Now, back to the demonization of this, because those folks aren’t experts on education like the unions and teachers are in the old system.

Leftists are dedicated to trying anything that doesn’t work, when it comes to destroying our kids/nation.

EXCUSE #1: Fortunately MY CHILDREN go to public schools that are NOT infected with this crap. Out where we live, everyone knows everyone, and even my child’s teacher shops at the same supermarket as me. They would NEVER do such terrible things to the in OUR SCHOOLS. It only happens over there - in those cities and other towns. Not here, never - we wouldn’t allow it.

EXCUSE #2: I pay a ton in property taxes and you better believe that I’m going to get something back for it! As far as what they teach, who cares, I simply WILL NOT permit them to take my money and get nothing in return.

(the main excuses given by conservatives who still dump their kids into public schools)

I was listening to Joe Walsh tonight. He told of the tragic death last weekend of a National Guard soldier who volunteered for a hitch in Afghanistan and was shot. The soldier left a wife and 6 kids. A week before he was killed, he posted a Facebook message wherein he emphasized the importance of voting. Walsh then quoted some responses to a poll questioning young people as to why they didn't vote. The responses ranged from "it was raining" to "it was too long a wait" and the all-purpose "it was too much trouble, it's too hard to vote". Incredible, but true. Walsh contrasted how this soldier lived under difficult combat conditions and eventually made the ultimate sacrifice, while these little millenial infants can't go to vote because "it's raining".

No wonder our country is in deep trouble---these babies have absolutely no grit to them. They require "safe spaces", puppies, crayons, all at an age where in another age, people were starting families and acquiring homes. They are just pathetic.

The wife flew back from another city. She said the college kids that come back on that flight all have stuffed animals and blankets. It looked like a day care center.

Started under the accursed W and no child left behind.

W made the mistake of reaching across the aisle to Teddy Kennedy to sponsor the bill. Of course an education bill sponsored by a Democrat would have anything but improved education as its goal. And Democrats will stab anyone in the back who tries for bipartisan cooperation.

I’ve met a lot of school teachers in a lot of different places. Not one I’ve talked to about Common Core likes it. Even first year teachers don’t like it. Too canned. Too hard for students to understand. Nothing positive. All negative.

If you haven’t seen this youtube video about Core Common math, you’ve missed something substantial:

What the hell??

W didn’t make a mistake. W wanted that bill to expand federal power into the States and into my and your living room. To say that W was or is a small government conservative is laughable. We were duped, and W was just a foil.

And one of the worlds richest men, Bill Gates, in support of it. I guess that happens when the entire thing operates off of your operating system.
