Posts I've seen at FreeRepublic for the last several weeks have shown that the republicans were ahead on early voting. Did a shift happen Sunday?

#walkaway matters. Just because someone is a registered democrat, doesn’t mean they voted democrat.

Many, maybe even most of those Democrats will be voting for Republican candidates, and all the Republicans will be voting for Republican candidates.

It’s a Slam Dunk for the GOP in Florida.

Florida early voting results:

Numbers released Monday morning by the state’s Division of Elections show a total of over 5.1 million people had either taken part in early voting or had mailed in their absentee ballots. Another 1.1 million absentee ballots that were requested had not been submitted as of this weekend.

Nearly 13.2 million people are registered to vote in the state of Florida according to the Division of Elections as of September 30th.

Democrats have cast 2.06 million ballots. Republicans have cast 2.04 million. More than 948,000 voters with no party affiliation have also voted.

This year’s totals far exceed those of 2014 midterms, but are still short of the 6.6 million who voted ahead of Election Day in 2016.

20,000 vote difference. Previous data was, more than likely an estimate.

I've read several places that Dems are the only ones who had early voting yesterday - the GOP did not.

yes, dem take the lead the sunday before the election. souls to the polls. 2016 they were ahead 96K going into election day and this year they are 28K or so going into election day. the republican hurricane counties are open today for early vote, everyone else is closed. still better than 2 years ago when trump and Rubio won.

The article fails to mention that at this point in time, Democrats are normally far, far, ahead of Republicans.

Instead, it is nearly a tie.

This bodes very badly for Democrats.

This propaganda from the media feels awfully familiar:

Early voting numbers in Florida appear to favor Clinton
Florida Democrats widen early vote lead thanks to South Florida Sunday blowout for Hillary Florida Democrats hold 90,000 early vote lead, will it carry Clinton to White House?

That said, the four Florida polls today don't look very good.

Yes Ds always add a zillion on the SUnday before. They almost always have a yuge lead now. But this time they don’t.

The lead they have is small AND the panhandle isn’t done voting early yet.

Rs always do better on voting day, Ds always do better early. But this year, Ds are _barely_ doing better. Rs need to do better on voting day and it’s all good.

In Florida, we gotta end the illegal act of photo taking or videotaping at poll places. The best way to expose the fraud is by the light of day and every person should be allowed to post and share photos of suspicious voters and voting.

Excellent point! I suppose a lot of nominal Democrats are very uncomfortable with the prospect of Gov. Gillum.

“I’ve read several places that Dems are the only ones who had early voting yesterday - the GOP did not.”

Well, yes, of course.

Florida must have polling places where only Democrats are allowed to vote on a Sunday.

Perhaps Florida should change those voting laws that prohibit Republicans from voting on Sunday.

No, they’re called “Independents”

Not everyone has to be a Republican or a Democrat.
