When a mob of left-wing Antifa activists descended Wednesday night on Fox News personality Tucker Carlson’s D.C. home, it signaled a new phase in the political violence and angry confrontations that now are targeting the news media.
Political violence has been rising in the U.S. since 2012, according to the Global Terrorism Database. Increasingly aggressive activists have pushed political confrontation to the limit since 2016, accosting Republican lawmakers and Trump administration officials in restaurants and in the halls of Congress. And now they’re going after conservative journalists at their homes.
“Tucker Carlson, we will fight. We know where you sleep at night!” the activists allied with Antifa chanted outside Mr. Carlson’s home.
Antifa is short of anti-fascist, though the group has anarchist leanings and targets anyone perceived as not in step with a far-left agenda.
“Here’s the problem. I have four children,” Mr. Carlson, whose wife was home alone during the disturbance, told Fox News. “I never thought twice about leaving them home alone, but this is the reaction because this group doesn’t like my TV show.”
On Capitol Hill, the overheated political debate has lawmakers increasingly working under a threat of violence.
Capitol police say they saw a surge in protective details assigned to lawmakers earlier in the fall, when senators were facing hallway protests during the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh.
Security details were assigned to at least two Republican senators on the Judiciary Committee, Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Jeff Flake of Arizona.
Security details typically are assigned only to members of leadership.
Senators have mostly been away from Washington since the Kavanaugh confirmation, and it’s not clear whether enhanced security will still be the norm.

As you know they don’t have to be ON your property for you to “feel threatened” in Texas. If they start screaming and throwing stuff in your yard or at your home, first, call the cops. Then simply open the door, fire two shots over their head, wait five seconds then start firing at targets. And make sure someone is taping it.
This is what’s going to have to happen. These people want their “enemies” dead. And the leftist politicians are strengthening them by not condemning their actions.
Personally, I hope I’m never faced with this.
Why is he still living in Washington, DC, where he is at the mercy of leftist mobs and a biased court system? He should have seen this coming.
My Hope and my dream:
A new (and awake!) Attorney General will unmask the financial supporters and enabler of Antifa, and either sue or jail them after they have been exposed to the public.
I don’t want an investigation that drags on forever.
I hope the president can hire and keep some good lawyers.
Treat such lawyers well, Mr. President. Pay attention to their suggestions. DO NOT make fun of them on Twitter.
‘Lawyers have a huge ego, and don’t enjoy professional humiliation at all. Let VP Pence handle them, or General Kelly. Leave them mostly alone the way you did with Nikki Haley. She knew what she was doing and you allowed her to proceed.
I hope something is done to permanently disable this bloody monster known as Antifa before 2020.

I still have letters from my grandfathers side with (Heil Hitler) in parentheses. If the family did not write such and such then the censors would have rolled them up on the German side and the US side would also have them on the list( Hebrew not Jewish but enough to send both to the ovens if they returned). Gramps was asked to return to Germany and claim his rightful ownership of such and such. He never returned. He went to Mt Talmalpias Military School and later was a dental surgeon/Colonel in the US Army
Grams and gramps used to speak in whispers in German/Yiddish. The neighbors a few blocks away were holocaust survivors and I remember they used to shake holding hands( not davening) in tears in a room fearful of the out doors
The reason I wrote these two blurbs of pre ( and during) WW-II Germany is there was a black and white, a good and evil and the PC culture in Germany was dangerous enough to be demonized as it is today. The extremes are just beginning unless we can quell the sparks of Bolshevism/Brown Shirts.

First of all, they are not Nazis. They are communists.
Nazis send communists to Dachau or hang them with piano wire. They don't send them summonses and provide them with lawyers. Why do you suppose the Left is so paranoid about "Nazis"?
Second of all, this communist shock army is doing the bidding of the Feds. They are protected by the police and by the courts. And their intimidation tactics are working.
Why on earth would the Feds lock them up?
When they come up against the “really bad” boys. They will get and education. They cannot compete.
