You want to say that about extending the vote to blacks, too?

Jeesh!

Republicans had no answer to repeal of Obamacare and pre-existing conditions. You can blame Paul Ryan, but no one had anything to answer with and suburban women are concerned about health care.

Yea, but Dave Brat was not a part of the Ryan cabal, but VA “soccer moms” defeated him.

Most suburban women can be easily persuaded to vote for Democrats because they do not think seriously. Serious thinking in the political sense is concerned with where we are going as a nation, our moral values, our long-term prosperity, our security, our freedom and its inherent responsibilities.

"seriously" or "deeply". Either one. And same goes for most guys living in big city urban areas.

Has everyone here gone nuts? Why does a woman living in the suburbs automatically become PRO CHOICE, ANTI GUN or any other label? Why does a woman living in the suburbs automatically become a dirty word? I think the opinions expressed here (and attitudes) reflect more on what someone has seen on scandal sheets, or TV shows dominated by demon-rat women - The View etc. than on anything happening in their real day to day life. Do they live vicariously through other people? How in the dickens did we normal women who happen to vote Republican AND OH! GOOD GRIEF happen to live in the suburbs get lumped in with the loons who advocate abortions? Doesn’t anyone here live in the REAL world? This whole thread is bonkers!

And what makes a conservative Republican woman living in the suburbs (didn’t know until now that it’s a dirty word) a liberal? Or even a man for that matter.

And this has what to do with conservative Republican women living in the suburbs? If you or the author of the article are talking about HOLLYWOOD LIBERALS, then make that clear. Don’t demonize an entire population who happen to be women living in the suburbs. None of this makes any sense at all.

No, suburban women didn’t cost the Republicans in the election.

The fact that nationally the final voting turnout was +9 D is what did it.

".... Many live very comfortably with two big paychecks entering the household bank account every month. They and their husbands probably have jobs that are not subject to being shipped overseas, and get raises that mostly keep up with inflation. They have benefitted from, and thoroughly enjoyed, the “Everything Bubble” created by trillions of new dollars sloshing around in the system. Those excess dollars are courtesy of the Federal Reserve money-creation scam and Congressional deficit spending that steals from the future....."

If your life is that good, why rock the boat even though the rest of the country is in need and the economic fundamentals are not sound. What is it to them?

I agree and yes, I am a woman.

Giving non-landowners the vote was pretty stupid, too.

If it was not cold, dark and windy right now, I’d go pose in front of my Burb.

“”I voted R all the way.””

And are you a woman living in the suburbs...I had no idea there was a stigma attached to us, did you? I guess I’ve been associating with the wrong friends if some have been masquerading as conservatives but voted demon-rat in the last election!

Universal suffrage is a mistake. Not even all white men could vote, at the outset of the republic. Only white male property owners could vote.

Nowadays, only people who have a stake in the system should vote. No one on welfare gets a gote. No .gov employee gets a vote, unless military. No federal income tax paid, pre-deduction? No vote. Etc.

As a suburban woman let me just say that you certainly feel sorry for yourself.

Pathetic.

“”affluent Suburban Republican women””

Now it’s not just suburban women but “affluent” suburban women. Good grief. Can we not live in the suburbs unless we’re affluent? When did women who live in the suburbs - either conservative or liberal, either wealthy or not - become a dirty word? We’re all supposed to be idiots and abortion advocates and drive fancy cars? What world do you people live in?

“”NONE OF IT is my fault.””

Which is why I’ve been hammering on that ridiculous article since I came across it earlier this evening. It’s so stupid I can’t believe anyone bothered to post it or that I’ve spent so much time finding fault with it and with the replies. It seems we women who live in suburbia didn’t know that somewhere along the line we became part of the unwashed. And here we’ve been going about our daily lives unaware of labels we’ve acquired along the way!

“The GOP lost the House because they did NOTHING when they had it.”

The GOP lost the House because Paul Ryan did whatever it took to sabotage Trump. also, there were several uncontested races where the only name on the ballot was a Rat. It’s Ryan’s job to recruit GOP candidates, and he didn’t.
