For that to occur, they’d have to go up, rather than go to another.

I wonder what legal error the Democrats are going to claim as a basis? Whaah Whaah Whaah won’t be sufficient, imo!

Also, Palm Beach is signaling to Broward that “don’t expect any more from me, I’ve gone as far as I can!”

Wonder if Trump’s tweet signaled Palm Beach that the game is up?

I wonder if those rental trucks were GPS enabled? Wouldn’t that be interesting?

So she ends up disenfranchising her own county’s voters. That’s on her.

“””Per SOE where I work”””

So you work for Brenda Snipes at the Broward County Supervisor of Elections? Please let everyone know.

And when DeSantis wins, his first act as governor must be to fire every one of these crooks.

I bet the reason this never happens is that the Democrats in Broward/Dade/WPB are always ready to accuse the incoming Republican governor of partisan-inspired retaliation after he wins.

She's doing the same thing Brenda Snipes is doing with absentee ballots - trying to create an opportunity to manually alter them.

Her responsibility is to count and record the ballot vote, not to determine why the voter did or didn't vote a certain way.

And they both create opportunities to "recreate" damaged ballots.
Who damages them?
How do so many get damaged that they cannot submit their vote counts within the legal time limits?
Why do we only hear that Broward County and Palm Beach County have a serious problem with damaged ballots?

"PBC Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher Requests Emergency Hearing"

https://cbs12.com/news/local/susan-bucher-requests-deadline-extension

Friday, November 9th 2018

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher requested an emergency hearing late Friday afternoon.

According to documents, the hearing will be Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.

Bucher requested "declaratory and injunctive relief," concerning the canvassing of over-voted and under-voted absentee ballots during the election and preparation of the duplicated damaged ballots.

Bucher, along with the Supervisor of Elections Canvassing Board, were still looking over the provisional ballots, separating the votes deemed not fit to be counted. Her deadline to submit those unofficial midterm election results to the state is Saturday, Nov. 10 at noon.

The deadline for turning in any duplicate or damaged ballots that were going to be thrown out without going to the canvassing board was Saturday at 10 a.m.

But she filed for reconsideration to get the 10 a.m. deadline extended.

stuck together ballots. misread ballots. undervotes in the senate election. those “found” ballot boxes could easily be ordered to be counted by the right judge.

lots of ways to explain 13K votes, if you’re brazen enough to try — and they’re already trying.

Deadlines are part of the white patriarchy and should not be applied or held against People of Color.

AND YOU DO REALIZE THERE ARE 608 Polling Locations in Broward County....an all cites had questions on the ballotts that were for that city alone....so as you can see this is a huge undertaking....

I think you are trying to give clarity but, as a gentle suggestion, breaking up your thoughts with white space is better than ellipses (...).

As for your points, are you not missing the fact that there was heavy early voting and that the processing of those votes should have started 6 days before? To me this is one of the indicators of a Rat in Denmark, that Broward did not report those votes as required at 7pm of Election Day. Then there was the discrepancy in number of ballots (not votes) that went up by some 70k+ overnight? Really?

I totally understand.

Back in the day such cowards would hold their tongue among real men to avoid getting a beat down for such remarks.

Legally they were known as fighting words and you couldn’t sue if someone smacked you for them.

No-a-days, all the lawyers and pansies run the world.

Reminds me of the quote from Joe Kennedy when told how much it would cost to provide enough votes for JFK to win in 1960 presidential election, “what? I’m paying to win an election, not for a landslide”.

Reading Bush v. Gore reveals the USSC's decision noted inconsistent recounting standards but ultimately swung on the safe-harbor time issue.

Yes, but of course such a media exercise had no legal effect.

The first count starts at 7PM on election night and is mostly finished by midnight, but it’s “impossible” to finish the recount one week and two days later?

That's correct. It's the new Common Core math.

The reason they can' re-count is because they never gave a total first count.

The reason they still haven't given a final first count is that they don't know what ratio to use for dividing up the "found" votes that doesn't look suspicious but still gives Nelson and Gillum the lead, and they don't want to cut themselves short by committing to a total vote count that proves to be too low.

They are paralyzed by the math.

no, but it proved the ultimate futility of putting limitless faith in recounts — legitimate recounts that aren’t being rigged, at any rate.

If I recall correctly, the 7-2 decision was on saying that cherry-picking recounting just Dade/Broward/WPB violated equal protection, but the 5-4 vote was on whether there was still sufficient time to allow for a full state recount before the certification deadline.

Using Common Core Math or math that less confusing to the human synapses?
