You mean Billy Jeff as in William Jefferson Clinton, don’t you?
I guess. But to me he'll always be "BillyBob".
He was a violent thug towards others, and a violent thug to himself.
Not a loss.
Too bad you didn’t read down further where it addressed folks saying it was a two way street, the abuse.
Are you aware that men are victims of domestic violence considerably more than has been reported?
Police often ignore the report when it’s men who have been physically abused. Men have a stigma about reporting they’ve been abused by (a woman) their spouse (or female partner) too, so the reporting of incidents is impacted further downward.
Here are some articles on he subject.
- More than 40% of domestic violence victims are male, report reveals (British)
https://www.theguardian.com/society/2010/sep/05/men-victims-domestic-violence
The next is a WikiLeaks web page report. While it may not be entirely accurate, it does touch on some real issues associated with female on male violence.
- Domestic violence against men
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_violence_against_men
The next article covers domestic abuse against both men and women, but when you read it the only stats listed are for women. When it came to the violence in domestic cases, legislation didn’t even mention men. It was called the Violence Again Women Act. (VAWA)
> On March 9th, 2015 - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon stated that the world has made “uneven progress” in combating violence against women and gender inequality and that it still “persists in alarmingly high levels.”
Notice the word Men in that? No!
- Domestic (Intimate Partner) Violence Fast Facts (CNN)
https://www.cnn.com/2013/12/06/us/domestic-intimate-partner-violence-fast-facts/index.html
The next article covers the abuse leveled at men. There are several studies and include physical abuse as well as verbal abuse.
Men were the victims in one study roughly 25% more than women. When more physical aspects were listed, the men dropped considerably from that figure. It’s still significant the amount of men who report being abused.
- The Number of Male Domestic Abuse Victims Is Shockingly High So Why Dont We Hear About Them?

I know you wrote you didn’t care for the fact he admitted he was a felon. You didn’t seem to realize she may have been one as well, but skated on any charges because he may not have reported them.
I don’t approve of men taking physical measures against their wifes female companions either.
Have to go out now, so I can’t respond soon.
“The guy was an admitted felon. Sympathy evaporated when I got to that nugget.”
And it wasn’t decades ago when young.
The fact that she may have been a mean drunk doesn’t mitigate the fact that he was a mean drunk. (And he sounds like he was a full on wimp when sober).
I’m willing to entertain some doubts when a guy goes down fighting on a felony. When the best a guy can do is cop to a lower felony, then no, I won’t give him any further benefit of the doubt. And I don’t have any problems with a public university firing profs when they earn a felony conviction. It shouldn’t have taken a bunch of commie agitators to get the administration to engage.
We aren’t talking about a guy who had turned his life around - he went for round two after he found out he’d been charged.
As for folks up-thread who are trying to make him a me-too poster boy — they are hurting their own cause.
#MeToo is one of a 1000 Alinsky cuts to die from. #MeToo has very little to do with justice but is a tool to destroy certain men.
Another scalp for the vanguard elite.
Romans 5:7-9 "7It is rare indeed for anyone to die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him!"
That being said, I have yet to see any consequences for flying ashtrays in the White House, or for a certain woman who chopped off her husband's penis, because he always climaxed first.
They’re fellow commies/socialists/nazis; the POS ‘Statesman’ doesn’t write anything bad about fellow travelers.
There must be some kind of back story here.
This sounds like targeted retribution to me.
Did the dead man donate to Conservative candidates?
Did he challenge the scientific basis of Global Warming in the presence of students or faculty?
During his alcohol research, did he ever suggest that alcoholism is not a disease?
I call him “Rapin Bill”.
I don’t doubt what you say about mental disorders. I would not, however, expect a sudden onset of such a disorder in response to a sudden legal or public spotlight trauma.
The problem is - there are too many women around who have been battered and sexually assaulted by men.
The average man has no idea what has gone on. The average man would never in a million years sexually assault his date.
Unfortunately, the average man has friends who have done this - over and over again.
Admitting to a felony does not mean he committed a felony. Lots of innocent people plead guilty to crimes they didnt commit in order to avoid a very real possibility of a long prison sentence, devastating legal fees, and just wanting to get the episode behind them.
He agreed to five years of probation. If he had committed the crime he was originally charged with, the prosecutor would never have agreed to probation.
Could very well be he was innocent.
That comment makes you sound like a heartless prick. I guess you skipped the part where Morrisett’s case was adjudicated and he paid his debt. I hope you never sit on a jury
“The 57-year-old tenured professor of pharmacology” was not thinking clearly. Hey, we all make mistakes and yes, we need to feel embarrassed and remorseful everyday for our mistakes. Suicide? Never a good option. Just move to new town and get a new dumb job.
Again...it is the democratic party influenced media seeking to control the narrative of the life we are living. They are grooming voters with their false narrative.
I did sit on a jury. We acquitted the accused. The state had a weak case, and the cop did a poor job. It might have been enough for a civil case, but didn’t get anywhere near ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’.
