Ignorance and arrogance are a bad combination, even for a Democrat. Not even yet sworn-into office (“inaugurated,” as she inappropriately put it) as a member of Congress, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is upset that she gets criticized over her mangling of the proper terminology for discussing the federal government. Over the weekend, she spoke of the “three chambers of Congress” – and quickly (and inaccurately) corrected herself to say “three chambers of government,” not understanding that the executive and judiciary are not “chambers” but branches.

It looks to me like she ran for Congress never expecting to win, and has never really prepared herself for office by studying the sort of civic lessons they taught in the ninth grade more than half a century ago when I was a junior high school student.

Well when she says stupid things, such as Republicans don’t believe people have a right to healthcare, she should be criticized.
If she is saying that, whether her language is mangled or not, she should be called out on such nonsense.
She’s in the big leagues now. Maybe she’s in over her head.
If she can’t stand the heat get back to her bar in New York City. Politics is not for the faint of heart or thin-skinned liberals.

I’m sure this won’t be popular here, but I find the dissecting of every word that comes out of this girl’s mouth to be counter-productive.
She’s a kid and someone who is very new at being in the spotlight. She’s WAY wrong on policy. Explain why and slap her down with logic, but beating up on her and making fun of her for little slip-ups isn’t going to be any more productive than it is when their side does it to Trump. Less so, because it’s a bunch of adults beating up on a kid.
Exposing this cretin’s ignorance will be an entertaining hobby for the Right. And to think she actually has a university education, for shame.

She represents millions of similar people in her age group out there. Would you rather try and educate them, so you might get their vote, or completely alienate them so that you NEVER do.
