Billionaires Demand Fast-Track Green Cards for 400,000 Visa Workers
Breitbart ^ | 12/7/2018 | Neil Munro

Posted on 12/08/2018 8:17:02 PM PST by RightGeek

Internet billionaire Marc Benioff is urging the GOP Congress and President Donald Trump to fast-track 400,000 foreign visa-workers — plus 400,000 family members — to green cards, the U.S. job market, and the ballot box.

“This is good for our economy,” Benioff said in a Tuesday tweet that was applauded by Silicon Valley lobbyists. “We need to grow our workers to grow our economy.”

Benioff’s comment is a tautology: Expanding the population by importing more than 800,000 people would obviously grow the nation’s economy, retail sales, government taxes, company profits, and Wall Street stock options.

But Benioff’s cheap-labor importation plan would also shrink the income and careers sought by millions of American college graduates, many of whom will vote in 2020 for or against Trump.

The planned giveaway is in a pending House bill, dubbed H.R. 392. It is also hidden in the House version of the 2019 funding package for the Department of Homeland Security. If Trump accepts that funding package, he will help companies import more cheap visa-workers from India and China an inflict more economic and career damage to the nation’s professional-status workforce of at least 55 million American college-graduates.

The nation’s workforce now includes roughly 1.5 million foreign college-graduate contract-workers who are imported via the H-1B, L-1, OPT, O-1, J-1, and other visa programs. These outsourcing workers are not immigrants, but instead, they are contract workers hired for one to six years, at lower wages, to take jobs that would otherwise go to American graduates.

Tax Dodgers.. American kids last corporate cronyism. Tax business according to the percent of visa workers they have to make up for the raxes they are dodging and the welfare programs their workers are using.

I wish there was a study comparing the business first wealthy types support for below market cheap labor, with the business first wealthy types who supported free labor slavery before the US Civil War.

The Republican party was created in rejection of these wealthy business first types.

“Take time to visit local colleges and universities and you’ll realize, 95% of all STEM degrees in the US are going to folks that need legal sponsorship. “

That’s not even remotely true.

You can’t get much more in-your-face than this. They’re telling you that you don’t matter at all and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Two things. They say they are bringing people who will do jobs Americans won’t do. But there aren’t any jobs Americans won’t do. There are jobs middle-class kids won’t do. But there is no honest job that someone won’t willingly do given a bit of respect and a paycheck. Americans need those jobs. Its their leg up into productive life.

Second; they are not only bringing in unskilled and semi-skilled labor. They are bringing in engineers and programmers thousands per year, depressing wages for those who are still employed and pushing others out of work entirely. Companies used to actively train people when they couldn’t find the people they needed; its too easy now to simply bring people in from abroad.

Visas for tech workers are given out 80,000 per year, good for 6 years. So at any time there are 480,000 foreign engineers and programmers here on H1B. At the end of it they usually covert to permanent residency, so it is a constant flow of 80,000 techs per year coming into the country. Add to that a million legal immigrants, and another million illegal immigrants, and can anyone seriously believe that American workers are unaffected by all of this?

That’s not even remotely true.

I spend a great deal of time recruiting and have for 20 years in local colleges and universities and it is absolutely true.

I was trained by a company, and built a very good career from that start. That kind of training program simply doesn’t exist anymore, there is no need for it when they can simply recruit from overseas.

The joke is that the people recruited in many or most cases have to be trained once they are in their cubicle.

You have represented foreigners on FR for far too long too to know you are full of poop as a Christmas goose.

You are also liberal enough to think you are fooling others as though no one else works with colleges, and we don’t see that Anti-American nonsense you claim is out there.

WHO hid it there? With knowledge we can better define our enemies.

LOL, you've never met someone as far right as I am. But go ahead, keep telling yourself we don't need STEM resources. Your ignorance to the situation is what keeps us from having enough resources. You'd probably pay for your kids to get a psychology or social studies education thinking they're helping the resource pool in the US.

Yup, that’s Fat Boy.

He’s not a “technologist”. Just a game programmer with a Business degree. And those beady brown eyes...

His buddy Ellison is the one who put him over the top with his boring CRM database crap.

So we should call his bluff.

Let’s say, OK, Marc: let’s bring in 400,000 Ukrainians, Russians, Czechs, Poles and yes, Germans.

But they have to be Christian. We want them to assimilate. It’s for the good of the country, right Marc?

Let’s see the bigot walk that back.

Wait, I forgot!

Soon we will need to take in 10 million white South Africans.

Marc’s cool with that, right!? They’re industrious, productive, well educated...who could argue?

We know what Mr. Virtue Signalling Marc’s answer will be: a beady eyed Nyet!

The dream of the elite is to create a huge underclass of uneducated and low IQ people to serve them. That includes diluting the middle class. It's not just political, dems versus gop. It's the super rich on both "sides."

The real battle we have is b/w the middle class and the uber rich. I know that appears to be anti-capitalist, but it's not when one considers that many of the super rich gained their wealth via government programs and preferential treatment. Crony capitalism isn't capitalism.

The GOP leadership will sell us out just as fast as the Democrats when it comes to immigration and jobs. Trump is unique in that he is fighting for us. I'm not sure what has made him different from the rest of the wealthy, but he is.
