Maybe my headline is a bit over-exuberant in light of the supermajority requirement in the Senate. Having said that, several points, some of which have been made are worth noting in terms of the political advantages of the house passage.
1. It proves Trump was right when he said he could get the votes in the house in 5 minutes and that Pelousy and Chucky-Schmucky were wrong when they said he didn’t have the votes.
2. It puts the shutdown on the Senate Democrats, as someone noted, making it a “Schumer Shutdown”.
3. It puts the lack of funding for protecting Americans on the Dems.
Make DC rush hour traffic light again!
Give them both a peek at their FBI files.
And them tell millions will get a peek too.
Not sure this is the actual funding bill. Think so, but...
I hope the President puts the full weight of his office and the bully pulpit behind pushing McConnell to bring it to the floor for a vote. Make them go on record.
I hate to be a pessimist, but the only way that wall will happen is either the people fund it or Trump gets the money somewhere. Otherwise fogettaboutit. The commies and their little helpers need to be physically removed.
I don’t see the problem with reconciliation. McConnell needs to suspend the rules. But yes, we have “Republicans” who are pos.

Sad thing is. . .the Senate is majority republican and we are cynical. . .I blame Rand Paul. . .he wants to be the new McCain in the Senate.
All I want for Christmas is a border wall.
Good. Now, get it built.
It can be done with 50+ votes as a spending bill.
A thought just occurred to me. If the bill passes the House, is it still a legitimate bill with house approval after the Democrats take over and we have a more Republican Senate?
We are getting several new Republican Senators, and if the bill is still live, we can pass it with this current House vote, and the new Senate!
Does anyone know enough about the rules of the House and Senate to tell me whether it can happen this way or not?

McConnell is pretending he needs 60 votes to pass it because he knows he doesn’t even have 50.
