My feeling is that he had no choice but to take her because I imagine she insisted that she go with him. Has he even made a trip, as of late, without her? She is truly his other half and she wants the world to know it. She is a power in and of herself and she reeks of unselfish love and devotion for her husband and her family. Americans have always responded to the maternal image that is so strong in Melania. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the President and First Lady. We love you more and more every day and we pray for those who hate you without cause, your (our) enemies.

Haven't you been following our First Lady, on what seems a saintly mission to keep President Trump on focus in his attempt to save the nation? She just might be the most devoted, hard-working and loyal First Lady and First Wife the nation has ever had. I cannot imagine her not insisting on sharing the risk with her husband.
CBS news is reporting on the visit, and cut Mr Trump off just as he was about to express concern for Melania.
Seriously, I am not sure I would have taken the wife, and understand how risky this is.
Both PUTUS and FLOTUS had to know the risks.

That line makes it sound like Trump is scared and pulled them down himself.
Shades down and lights off is standard procedure for a VIP landing.

I love the guy but don’t feel the need to defend every comment he makes. But I understand some here do. Trump’s up against the World so I get that deep devotion. I reserve that for more holy entities after being taken by political humans in the past.
Yes, I must be a troll, faking it here for 19 years. See my previous post: I can vote for and support President Trump without resorting to worshipping every move he makes. This troop visiting is such a class act, and recently he had been tweeting some fairly superficial sensitivities that would cause a non-glorifier to place face into palm.
