If he's 19, I'm the Queen of England. What's his citizenship status? We need a wall at the airport and all ports of entry.

Sounds like a terrorist attack averted.

There is a youtube video of guys in a Youhaul box truck doing serious burnout donuts in a parking lot. They stop the truck and point to the side where it says “$19.95 a day” and they say, Yep, this can be you, for only $19.95 plus miles to the parking lot. :-D
And this is why you should never buy a used rental car - ever.

They just make $hit up and think people don’t notice. There’s an ex-journalist delivering for Amazon who wrote a story about it.
All I can say about the relationship between the quality of the journalism and the fact so many are unemployed is, “Duh.”

And this is why you should never buy a used rental car - ever. Yup. You have no idea where we took our rental car in Alaska. Amazing we got it back with the wheels on. Oh, and then there was that time on the lava fields in Hawaii. ;o)

He probably could not find enough explosives to fill up the truck. Interestingly, the article doesn’t mention any cargo in the truck. Was he hauling anything?

19?
If my daughter brought him home to visit, I'd immediately do an online search on the pedophile database.

At first glance, that name looks like it might be Russian. A Putin stooge at work again! Call Mueller!
But now consider the first name. This “teen” is probably not a Russian. Most probably he’s probably a Muslim. So nothing to see here. Move along now.

ANY used car has risk. That single owner late mile Toyota Corolla eith 15k miles on it might have been bought by a 20 year old woman who NEVER changed the oil before it was repod.
The Hertz people at least keep the cars maintained, and many of the cars can be bought certified, which akso reduces risk. They also have a lot if nice biring fleet cars that depreciate quickly providing a good value if that is the car you want.

Can’t argue with that. I’m just talking about statistical risk. With ex-rental cars it is sky high.

Probably an “unaccompanied minor” who was 19 at least 10 years ago.

He at 19 has less hair than me at 60...I doubt he’s 19...

I watched the video, and he mainly confirmed for me what I find to be the selling point of certified used cars... the warranty. No surprises in the video. I never expected the inspection part to mean a heck of a lot.
Historically, I have bought many cars, NEVER paying more than $2,700 from a private seller, and assuming I would have to fix stuff. Worst I'm out is the cost of the car plus any repairs along the way minus salvage value.
My wife would like something a bit newer. So, the Hertz rentals I am looking at are 2016 Impala Limiteds with ~ 80,000 on the odometer for about $9,000. The last time I poked around at a delearship it was at a Lexus delaership test driving a used Toyota Sequoia. On the test drive it drove fine, but then I told the salesman I wanted to take it out on the highway. Only then did I find out that there WAS NO HIGHWAY GEAR. There is a lot of risk in buying a used car. Speaking for myself, when I rent a car, I am extra careful, as I know I am liable if something happens to it. Perhaps the biggest issue with rentals is that the car is constantly used by different people with different driving styles. Even a one owner used car is used to someone who is not you driving it.

Yep. It’s not so much the certification. It’s the warranty.
The cert without the warranty, and the warranty doesn’t need “certification”.
He’s got a video on “RV inspection” that is a hoot.
