Even Republicans may be deciding that the president has become too great a burden to their party or too great a danger to the country.

An impeachment process against President Trump now seems inescapable. Unless the president resigns, the pressure by the public on the Democratic leaders to begin an impeachment process next year will only increase. Too many people think in terms of stasis: How things are is how they will remain. They don’t take into account that opinion moves with events.
Whether or not there’s already enough evidence to impeach Mr. Trump — I think there is — we will learn what the special counsel, Robert Mueller, has found, even if his investigation is cut short. A significant number of Republican candidates didn’t want to run with Mr. Trump in the midterms, and the results of those elections didn’t exactly strengthen his standing within his party. His political status, weak for some time, is now hurtling downhill.
The midterms were followed by new revelations in criminal investigations of once-close advisers as well as new scandals involving Mr. Trump himself. The odor of personal corruption on the president’s part — perhaps affecting his foreign policy — grew stronger. Then the events of the past several days — the president’s precipitous decision to pull American troops out of Syria, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis’s abrupt resignation, the swoon in the stock market, the pointless shutdown of parts of the government — instilled a new sense of alarm among many Republicans.

To avoid any attempt at an Impeachment Process, the current House Leadership, and Senate Leadership must Refuse to Seat Democrats in the Chambers.

I hate to say it but she is probably correct. The House Rats will likely impeach, because Drumpf!, but the effort will fail in the Senate.

And in the process, give Trump a second term. They can’t help themselves.
The democrats will likely overreach- again. Followed by a knock down drag out fight over the “appropriateness” of having 3 contenders for a 2020 run against the president and they’re all white men.
Yes, there will be an impeachment effort. House Democrats will not be able to restrain themselves. It remains to be seen whether Pelosi will actually allow Articles to pass or whether all those saps who won Republican seats by pretending to be moderates will risk those shiny new seats.
It would have no chance in the new McCain-less and Flake-less Senate. IMHO, it would give Trump's re-election chances a big boost.
This is a good example of the media trying to sell propaganda to the public. The Nazi’s were good at the BIG LIE, so is the NYT.
Go ahead DC and sycophantic journalists. But my sincere advice to you would be a day or two later to avoid standing in windows, and avoid stopping somewhere to pump for gas, and other vulnerable activities like that. Overthrowing an election is a violent act. That puts America into a new reality

Impeachment on Trumped up changes would be cause for Civil War. New York would not survive the conflict—Hate is a bad thing to base ones life upon. This is giving aid to our enemies. If I was Putin or Xi of China I would attack—America is so divided we would be a push over. What Liberal Jouranalist would support Trumps War?

If they crack under pressure they’d better hope the independents, “moderate” democrats, and illegals they are concerned about alienating switch sides and vote for them. Otherwise, when the conservative base fails to show up to vote for the lesser of two bad choices, they will find themselves packing.
