...it feels like the US has become increasingly divided along race, gender, and other identity lines

Tnx, Obama.

This is a CNN report. I almost quit reading when I saw that.

“A report released by the Haas Institute at the University of California-...”

This. This is when I did quit reading.

What about those states that the Dems controlled back in the Jim Crow days?

“In other words, he’s saying we can become less divided by having two legal systems.”

You nailed it...can’t possibly summarize any better than that. No doubt the author of the study cannot see that simple truism.

Today’s immigrants aren’t required, or even encouraged, to assimilate into American culture.

Much less inclusive of normal Americans, certainly.

states have all enacted anti-Sharia laws,
.....

an indicator that these states do not intend to submit to Islam.

Islam is antithetical to the Constitution and they are mutually exclusive. Totally incompatible.

Muslims cannot sincerely take the oath of citizenship.
It’s against their religion.

(conveniently Islam allows them to lie to infidels)

Inclusiveness is seriously overrated.

Is "inclusive" a secular sacrament or something?

"I have a dream. I dream of a day when a man is judged by the content of his character rather than the color of his skin."

Harmeet must be talking about not being able to get a job at CNN. He might need to go home where it is a lot more “inclusive”.

>>the University of California-Berkeley last week found that the US has become less inclusive — in other words, less welcoming to women, minority groups and people with disabilities — compared to the rest of the world since 2016. .

it’s become downright intolerant of white male heterosexuals, that’s for sure.

This study also quotes Hawaii as an example of high diversity. I am from Hawaii, and yes , there are many different races there. However, those races are third , fourth generation who have intermarried with other races. They are Americans.
Hawaii has a problems with the Micronesians, and the people are not happy that Bush allowed them to migrate there. They suck up the welfare dollars and take a lot of space in public housing.
If Hawaii had a huge influx of third world Latin American illegals coming into their state, there would be major pushback. Hawaii is insulated from most of the migration problems the rest of the states face, except for their Micronesian issues.

Bottom of the list

Louisiana
South Dakota
Texas
Oklahoma
Mississippi

Sweet!

I’m originally from Louisiana, I’ve lived in Texas for 46 years, I vacation camp in Oklahoma and half of my family is from Mississippi.

I have nothing for the proglibs and anyone pushing “inclusiveness and diversity” walks away P.O.ed at me because they get told in plain language to take it elsewhere.

the five least inclusive states have all enacted anti-Sharia laws, an indicator that the Haas Institute used to predict discrimination against all religious minorities.

With that sort of logic, I suppose that if these five states enacted anti-Nazi laws, these retards would see it as proof that the states are promoting anti-semitism.

They keep subdividing us and we’ll end up a nation of individuals. And they won’t like that.

>>Meanwhile, the five least inclusive states have all enacted anti-Sharia laws, an indicator that the Haas Institute used to predict discrimination against all religious minorities.

75% of all muslims in America are first generation immigrants or their kids.

That’s a hell of a lot of foreign nationals who want to bring Sharia to America.

It is incompatible with the American tradition of liberty.
As is Communism.
