Trent earned an associate degree from Purdue in computer information technology. He was diagnosed with bone cancer at age 15.

I first saw him during the Ohio St. game. Wow, that entire team rallied around him. Great kid.

Oh God, bone cancer is the most painful of all the cancers. I’m so sorry he lost his battle, but look at what he accomplished in his short life. He is a role model for anyone facing adversity.

Long May the memory of him live on to inspire others.

Saw this on Scott Van Pelt’s show after the bowl games last night with a piece that summed up what Trent had meant to the Purdue football team and many others away from athletics. So very sad to lose such a person with a strength of character rarely seen by most...

Wow. I hadn’t heard about Tyler before. Thank you for posting. Just watched a few YouTube videos. He was a beautiful soul. Purdue team did right by him.

I started taking classes towards a BA at Purdue in 84 but the job market caught fire so I went to work instead.

Eternal rest grant unto Tyler

O Lord and

may perpetual light shine upon him.

May Tyler’s soul and

all the souls,

of the faithfully departed,

through the Mercy of God

rest in peace.

Amen

I can’t believe I read a news article devoid of a mention of global warming or Trump hatred.
