Appearing with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) said most Americans want a safer community and a secure border. He announced that Republicans have just launched a petition drive in support of the border wall. "We've opened up borderwallnow.com, where we're encouraging grass roots across the country -- just started today -- where they go in and sign a petition and say we are standing with the president, we want border security."

Republicans had two years to provide money for a wall. A petition?? That’ll show those Democrats!!

Written Rob Portman and Sherrod Brown (who campaigned on being able to ‘work with Republicans’) every day.

After two years of having all three houses and the ability to provide funding for the wall, they are now reduced to a petition? More kabuki and they think this passes as action. Next up? A petition to overturn Obamacare......

There was never the votes in the senate for the wall.

There still is not the votes without democrats

Being antiRepublican is a losing position. The President is the leader of the Republican party

Exactly.. a total waste of time.

Don’t forget Democrats had a super majority and did nothing on immigration. Neither side wants to fix this.

If Trump wants his wall do it through the military.

Concur; sometimes people get so accustomed to losing that they give up when the MSM prints article(s). The 2016 was a miracle; Donald Trump was not supposed to win a rigged election. May God have mercy on our nation and uphold President Donald Trump and Vice President Michael Pence to accomplish His good pleasure and grant us in His mercy one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all.

btw

Since we have 53 or 54 Rs now, we can change senate rules to obviate the filibuster rules so, in fact, we do have the votes if it can get out of the House.

This is the so called Nuclear Option

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I don’t see how a petition drive will matter. The Dems aren’t budging on anything. All Dem members vote in lockstep on nearly everything.

It's all Kabuki Theater; these swamp, establishment republicans are trying to once again play us for fools.

They have absolutely no intention of ever building a "WALL". It would end all of their anti-American, anti-American labor "Chamber of Commerce" cheap labor. That's all these traitors care about is THE MONEY; not you, not me, not the country, not PROTECTING OUR CITIZENS.

This is our fight! So what if you think it’s Kabuki....sign it! Perhaps if it gets enough signatures, those that intended it to be Kabuki will take heed.

A petition? Two years of failure to get the job done and the answer is a petition...

How about the entire GOP beg for forgiveness and commit to keeping the government shut down until 50 billion (10X the request) is in the bill.

Don’t forget, Republicans always let Democrats call the shots. Even when Republicans are in power.
