As the number of Central American women and girls crossing into the U.S. continues to spike, so is the staggering amount of sexual violence waged against these migrants who are in search of a better life.
According to a stunning Fusion investigation, 80 percent of women and girls crossing into the U.S. by way of Mexico are raped during their journey. That’s up from a previous estimate of 60 percent, according to an Amnesty International report.
This year alone, immigration authorities expect more than 70,000 unaccompanied minors to come through the United States unlawfully, the majority of whom are from Central American countries of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. The number of unaccompanied Central American girls caught at the Southwest border has rapidly outpaced the number boys, according to a July Pew Research study.

Absolutely. It has been my argument for years. A wall is compassionate, humane and will prevent almost all of this. A porous border and all the problems that come along with it is actually inhumane and cruel as hell.
These people are ignorant to the true dangers involved and we are baiting them right into it just like a mouse to a trap.
What about young boys? Rape of young boys is also a huge problem.
They gotta get their anchor babies from somewhere.
Is HuffPo concerned because the percentage is 80% too high or because they think it is 20% too low?
I want to know why the 20% of the females are being discriminated against. It seems that 80% are raped without any discernerable preference being shown. However it also seems that the 20% are definitely being non-selected based upon some unknown reason, i.e. discrimination which is both illegal and immoral.

I suppose that might be true too. But if Anchor babies were not such an advantage this might stop also. :)
