Presidents should not be able to just declare national emergencies when they don’t get their way in order to do what they want. That’s not what is going on in this case ... but the liberals will paint it that way. Trump needs to make the case and get it done.

This article is mistaken when they talk about congress approving a wall.
Congress has already done that.
And, probably more than once, I haven’t bothered to check because it’s too depressing to actually note how many times our representatives have failed their oath of office, among other things.
Organized groups of thousands, mostly young men, bringing a few women and children as human shields. They crossed multiple national borders to breach ours. That is an invasion.
And the third one is organizing in Central America now, with “People without Borders” promising to keep doing it.

Lots of conflicting claims about when the funding for EBT cards runs out, but end of February seems like a date that a lot of people are bringing up. I don't know myself, but when it does, the Dems may want to consider that quite a lot of recipients aren't on their side of the Wall issue to begin with and aren't going to be entirely rational when the cards are zeroed out. (That's the problem with creating a dependent population - they tend to get cranky when they aren't being served).
If they were smart they'd get whatever concessions they can from Trump and pass the thing, but they're not smart or they wouldn't be in this position. Stand by for a bumpy ride.

No potential emergency that benefited a President or governor could be declared. That is the main problem with the uniparty. They only care about themselves. The Progs always play the long game. They won’t mind Trump building the wall by emergency decree. Instead of enraging their base if they approved funding it would rally their base. Also it would extend and further empower the Executive which would the Dems just fine. The next election that results in a unitary Progs government will be the last election.
The best option is to hold out until the Dems agree to funding.
