If a judge does try to block it. SCOTUS is missing Ginsberg.

If he does he’s going to have to ignore the activist Judges otherwise it will be for nothing.

President Trump needs to get the "decks cleared" to prepare for the Ruth Bader Ginsburg replacement fight that's about to commence.

He'll declare a national emergency on the wall and fight it through the courts. This will reopen government, and take away any excuse to not have his SOTU in the House chambers.

Yeah right. Her clerks will be writing her opinions from her deathbed and then probably for some time after she passes until they can no longer hide it.

Caving on the border security demand and then giving the SOTU with that rancid Nancy Pelosi standing behind him will be the worst thing he can possibly do.

At a bare minimum, I hope he's announcing that he's going to give the SOTU somewhere else.

Agreed....unless....he knows that a Ginsburg replacement fight is on the near horizon. That "Trumps" everything else.

I’m sure he knows that if he caves on this, then he’s going to be Nancy Pelosi’s b!tch for the next two years.

We have been under Emergency Rule for a long time (1933). Per that he has the authority to do what needs to be done.

Just a question. Can the states build the walls with grant money? After that the Army Corps of Engineers can come in and fill the gaps.

I think that would not be a Saturday at 3 in a blizzard... but closing the border might be

It's sounding like the Ginsburg imminent demise might not be credible yet - so hopefully he doesn't resort to the national emergency.

It’s hard to make a case for a “national emergency” when this sh!t has been allowed to go on for the first two years of his administration.

Not so.

In United States government, a national emergency is any extraordinary situation deemed by the President of the United States to threaten the health or safety of the citizens and which cannot be adequately addressed by the application of other laws or executive actions.

Exactly what situations do or do not constitute a state of emergency came into question in January 2019, when President Donald Trump stated that he might declare a national emergency in order to divert existing Department of Defense funds for the completion of a concrete wall (or steel barrier) intended to prevent illegal immigration along the entire southern U.S. border—a maneuver used by President Ronald Reagan in 1982 to boost construction of military facilities.

Per that picture and Obama’s plan that was flying them into the country. Here is a link to the organization that is seeding them into locations around the country.

The Army Corp of Engineers often contract out their civilian work anyway. So I say tell assign 100 miles each to the Army Corp of Engineers and the Navy Seabees and tell who ever does it first gets both braggin’ rights and the contract to do twice as much as the other. So winner would get twice the funding for the next 200 miles and loser gets 100 miles. Then on & on to see who does the most of the entire border.

The Ginsburg situation and the border security/shutdown situation should have no bearing on each other.
