Stop & seize ALL monetary transfers to anywhere south of the border.

Create a new clearing house for ANY monies sent south. Personal or Commercial.

Then raise the current tax of 5% to 50% on what is allowed to go south.

9th circuit will shut him down immediately.

The only question is whether the Supreme Court will do anything about it. If Roberts goes with the liberals...game over.

From reading the Act, it seems the courts (including the SCOTUS) have no standing. The limitation - as I read it -comes from the legislative branch. It requires a 2/3 majority in both Houses to comper a revocation of the declaration.

Trump already did this, invoking this specific law when he passed the temporary ban on entry from aliens from some Middle Eastern countries. The courts immediately slapped him, despite its obvious legality.

“But if you look at the text of the NEA, the only substantive burdens it placed on the president during such a declaration are to articulate which statue he is using, publish the proclamation in the federal register, and transmit to Congress all relevant regulations and expenditures under such declaration. It also forces the president to renew the declaration every year and authorizes Congress to disapprove of the declaration with a two-thirds vote in both houses. “

Chuck and Nancy will not be able to claim a drop of credit, just like for the tax cut. And he will give them every chance to have some input, already offered them DACA extension, and they turned up their noses. This could turn out to be yet another big win.

True.

Ted Kennedy’s 1965 immigration amendments made it unlawful for the President to discriminate on the basis of race, religion, etc.

Personally, I don’t see how that relates to border jumpers.

However, some Politically Left Judge would eventually issue an injunction.

Bottom Line....

Unless Trump is willing to openly defy federal injunctions and risk impeachment, his Presidency will be completely useless on the immigration issue.
