What Trump needs to do, what he should have done the moment it surfaced that there were irregularities in the access to the NSA database (which Adm Rogers put a stop to) and in FISA warrants, is appoint a second Special Counsel to investigate the FBI, the DOJ, the NSA and the CIA and put some of these people in prison.
Mueller and the Dems/GOPe can’t claim a second Special Counsel is obstruction of justice; it IS justice. It is working within the justice process.
The second Special Counsel should be someone with a history of being a very tough prosecutor in a red state and no past connection to the DOJ or the FBI.
And that person will need a team of very good investigators not previously entangled with the FBI.

I believe he over thought his argument.
This is rich. Someone launches a fraudulent investigation, and the one exposing the fraud incurs more guilt, by way of obstruction of justice, than the one committing the fraud.
All that is necessary is to release the documents.
Call Mueller into Oval Office and demand leaker of Stone’s raid to CNN or lose national security clearance by end of the week. If unable to comply, have Mueller leave his resignation on the President’s desk on the way out. Dismissed.
Documents should be released post indictments as evidence at trials.
Obama is to be left out. If the various trials implicate him, he can be delt with directly outside the courts.
Maybe Trump doesnt want to be that guy and is reluctant to drop the bomb on what will surely be portrayed as (because they are) political opponents. Hillary, Obummer, all of the Deep State All-Stars ...
Beating up your political adversaries does not fit well with the American tradition of a peaceful transfer of power after a legitimate election.
But that no longer applies. Our elections are NOT legitimate (look at illegals in Texas). Our transfers of power are now tense and marked by small acts of vandalism. Trump has faced a constant headwind from Obummer holdovers working against him, right inside the White House.
Trump needs to drop the gloves and restore faith in our justice system. We cannot survive a two-tier justice system, where elites like Hillary can smile their way through crimes that would land any of us deplorables in prison for life. Attacking a former President is painful, but not when he committed high crimes and misdemeanors and gets to walk away free.
