George Allen is a burn-out. He should never have lost his Senate seat in 2006 and blew it again in 2012 against that imbecile Timmy Kaine. He’d be a low-end second-tier candidate by 2021, 21 years after he last won a race.
I think Allen can pull it out in 2021-—especially if Virginia Democrats overplay their hands on abortion, etc.
If Allen didn’t lose his Senate seat in 2006, he could have won the presidency in 2008 or 2012.
Allen is still a political player in VA.
