I have heard that Christianity is “bad” because it’s anti gay.

All the main religions assume homosexualty as wrong and have for thousands of years. It’s like saying you are evil because your great grandparents were prejudiced against homosexuality.

Gay Pride was NOT a thing in 1875.

many of these Public schools venture too often into indoctrination, with teachings that can misrepresent science and history and potentially breed intolerance toward people with different outlooks.

This is much closer to the truth. It IS the truth. "Venture into," however, is ingenuous. The venturing part of it all is long in the past. Public schools are NOT institutions engaged in education but, rather, training for obedient pexistence in the Total Democrat State.

Unlike Pubic Schools who “venture too often into indoctrination, with teachings that can misrepresent science and history and potentially breed intolerance toward people with different outlooks.”

Eff these people. It is time to fight.

I assume your question is towards Strope, not me, correct? If so- yeah- they gladly turn a blind eye towards islamic outright oppression of homosexuality- something Christians don’t do- but condemn Christians for teaching that God calls it an abomination, but instructs us to treat them as human beings with certain rights- in islam- gay people have no rights- they are executed and thrown off rooftops, burned alive etc- but these anti-God writers like strope ignore these facts- and their only goal is embracing islam while driving Christianity underground

there is alot behind stopping home education and christianity is only the tip . The bulk is to hide how poorly public education is. If they get rid of home schooling there’s nothing to compare it with public education curriculum is based on the lowest common denominator. The very high smart kids maybe pulled out and taught at special schools but the average kid remains with the less brilliant, more dumb kids.

I was just openly commenting, not specifically to you, right. And Muslim is higher than Christian on the PC Heavenly Groups List. Christian is very near the bottom unless it’s a church of nonwhites.

Yes, it’s going to be open warfare on anyone who is not teaching the Leftist party line.

They have full control of the public schools. Now they need to expand to nationwide full control over every child into adult-hood.

In 1982, after the State of Nebraska conducted a violent raid on a Christian church school, holding teachers and terrified kids on the floor at gun point and Pastor Everet Sileven spent 297 days in jail, Pastor Sileven appeared on TV opposite the state bureaucrat who authorized the raid. He turned to the school bureaucrat and asked the real reason why the state had such a problem with their small church school?
Without missing a beat, through a sneer anyone who has visited the DMV will recognize, the bureaucrat declared (and I’m paraphrasing):
“Because you are denying the state schools needed money. And because you are educating children outside the public school system, IN THE WORLD WE’RE DESIGNING FOR THE FUTURE, THEY WON’T FIT IN!”
Dwell on those last 4 words for a moment.
If you’re curious about just what that world they were designing might look like, LOOK AROUND.
You’re living in it.
And, if the indoctrination MY grandchildren are experiencing is any indication, it will only get worse!
We’d better get THAT problem solved or America - the IDEA - will soon be just a distant memory!

Mr Backert- I know exactly what you are talking about- the indoctrination in public schools is becoming frightening- I went to public schools back in the 60’s and 70’s, and while they aren’t exactly institutes of morality and truth, they weren’t nearly as bad as schools are today- there was none of idiotic politically correct political agendas they have today- about the worst of it was their insistence on teaching evolution- but today they teach homosexuality, genderism, islam, feminism, liberalism- etc- and they are really really pushing these agendas-

Kids today don’t stand a chance- they are confused by liberal homosexual agenda driven predators right from a very early age- driven to question their sexuality, their biological sex, taught to hate Christians who preach that God calls homosexuality an abomination- etc-

Had a friend who recently went from secular school to Christian college- His secular school music teacher (who according to friend taught feminism more than she did music) openly ridiculed him for going to ‘God school’ and called it a ‘cult’ and basically told him he’d be brainwashed-

I wish he had told her “What makes you think I should respect your belief system if you can’t respect mine?” - but i guess that would have been ‘disrespectful’

re: “To critics”

Shut up, critics. It is our right, our God-given right, to educate as we see fit. *That* is what you are taking exception to - a God-given right.

"But this leaves kids vulnerable on all kinds of levels, which of course was what the hashtag was about," Ingersoll said in an email. "It's been portrayed as a campaign against Christianity from 'the left,' but it was really a group of young adults who grew up in Christian schools (and Christian home schooling) explaining how they believe they were personally harmed by it.”

"These harms were often related to sex, gender, shame, and abuse," she wrote. "But stories also detailed impoverished education, especially when it came to science and history.”

Which, fortunately, never happens in government schools. </sarcasm>

Thank the Progressives who have dominated America's so-called "education system" for effectively erasing the Framers' ideas of liberty underlying the Constitution and expressed in the Declaration of Independence, and for the great ignorance of those ideas among youth!

Such was not always true in America.

The following is an excerpt from the "Centennial Thanksgiving Sermon" (1886) (celebrating America's 100th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence) by a Black Ohio Legislator and A.M.E. Bishop Benjamin W. Arnett on "The Greatness of America" - Note that this Sermon is delivered only a few years after the end of the Civil War by this outstanding scholar/legislator/Bishop.

"Let us see what it is that makes us so great; wherein lies our strength. What has made us one of the greatest powers of the earth, politically and intellectually? Have we come to the conclusion that it is Righteousness that exalteth a nation? We have met to-day at the request of the President of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant, and also the Governor of our beloved State, Rutherford B. Hayes. For what? Why call us from our homes? Why come to the house of God? Why not go to the hall of mirth and to the places of amusement to-day? No that is not what they want us to do. We are commanded to go to our 'several places of worship, and there offer up thanks to Kind Providence which has brought our nation through the scenes of another year, and blessed the land with peace, plenty and prosperity.' Then as Americans we have reason to rejoice and congratulate ourselves on the greatness of our beloved country; at this the close of the first hundred years of experimental government of the people, by the people, and for the people. To be a citizen of this vast country is something, and to share in its privileges and duties is more than something." - Dr. Benjamin W. Arnett, 1876 "Centennial Thanksgiving Sermon" - Library of Congress - African-American Section
If current generations of youth in America go to the LOC web site and read this lengthy Address by a remarkable Black scholar of history, Ohio State Legislator, and A.M.E. Bishop, who had lived through the years surrounding the Civil War, then their perspective might be enhanced, enlarged and encouraged by their pride in such an intellectual giant from America's history. Progressives talk a lot about "diversity." By the term "diversity," Progressives mean "diversity" of anything and everything except freedom of conscience, freedom of expression of ideas which differ from the "Progressive" agenda for "changing" America from adherence and devotion to the ideas of liberty outlined in its Declaration of Independence and structured into its Constitution for self-government.

Shame on them and all whom they control through fear!

The things we are witnessing are the consequences of decades of Progressive academic and government "elitists'" indoctrination of America away from its founding principles in the ideas of liberty and toward the cultish and oppressive ideology of Progressivism, an ideology which demands complete submission to "progressive" regressives who believe they are entitled, and were appointed, to rule over everyone else. A society where Progressives rule is a society where the ideas of liberty have been subordinated to the ideas of tyranny.

Thomas Jefferson, only days before his death on July 4, 1826, explaining his inability to attend a gathering to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Declaration, wrote to Roger Weightman:

"I should, indeed, with peculiar delight, have met and exchanged there congratulations personally with the small band, the remnant of that host of worthies, who joined with us on that day, in the bold and doubtful election we were to make for our country, between submission or the sword; and to have enjoyed with them the consolatory fact, that our fellow citizens, after half a century of experience and prosperity, continue to approve the choice we made. may it be to the world, what I believe it will be, (to some parts sooner, to others later, but finally to all) the Signal of arousing men to burst the chains, under which monkish ignorance and superstition had persuaded them to bind themselves, and to assume the blessings & security of self-government. That form which we have substituted, restores the free right to the unbounded exercise of reason and freedom of opinion. All eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of man. the general spread of the light of science has already laid open to every view. the palpable truth, that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately, by the grace of god. These are grounds of hope for others. for ourselves, let the annual return of this day forever refresh our recollections of these rights, and an undiminished devotion to them." (Jefferson, June 24, 1826, to Roger Weightman, End of Jefferson quotation)

Not to mention, of course that private schools and home schoolers turn out kids that are so far above the public schools that it is a public shame for them.

_Jim's point about the education of one's children being a God-given right should be the FUNDAMENTAL issue under this discussion. Many times people argue on the statistical outcomes as a justification - concealed carry is a good thing because of the deterrent effect, for example, as well as HSed children being "smarter." In reality, even if HSed kids were dumb as dust and gun owners tended to have higher than average arrest records, that would (should?) not negate the legitimacy of the right.

I've seen some dumb gun owners and frankly not all HSed children are 4.0 students. It doesn't matter. I would still argue vociferously for their right to KABA and that parents should be able to educate their children unencumbered by the state.

There is no debate on Catholic or Christian schools. Public indoctrination centers known as public schools are clearly the problem.

Unfortunately, many “Christian” schools have already embraced a variety of secular, and decadent, philosophies, especially homoeroticism as natural and moral.
