TRENTON, N.J. (February 5, 2019) — Today, attorneys for six advocacy organizations and one individual, Firearms Policy Coalition founder Brandon Combs, filed a new lawsuit and a motion seeking a restraining order and preliminary injunction against New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal. The case was filed just days after Grewal’s Office of the Attorney General sent a threat of prosecution to Cloudflare, a major Internet services company headquartered in San Francisco, about www.CodeIsFreeSpeech.com. According to the complaint, on Saturday, February 3 the CodeIsFreeSpeech.com website’s act of republishing some of Defense Distributed’s digital firearms information “was met with yet another of Grewal’s Orwellian take-down orders,” demanding that Cloudflare “delete all files described within 24 hours or [Grewal’s Office] will be forced to press charges.”
“By issuing a takedown demand against” the entire website, “Grewal sought to compel the complete and total suppression of the political speech at CodeIsFreeSpeech.com, the links to other advocacy websites and their educational and political resources, links to political tee shirts, and even the very text of the United States Constitution itself,” the plaintiffs said in the filing. Attorneys for the plaintiffs also filed a motion seeking a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against Grewal. The Attorney General’s threats of prosecution and other civil enforcement actions under New Jersey laws, the plaintiffs say, violate their constitutional rights.
Last November, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed a new speech crime into law, in Senate Bill 2465. Among other things, it created a new “third degree crime” for “a person to distribute by any means, including the Internet, to a person in New Jersey” certain kinds of speech, including “digital instructions in the form of computer-aided design files or other code or instructions stored and displayed in electronic format as a digital model that may be used to program a three-dimensional printer…”
CodeIsFreeSpeech.com “is a publicly available website for the publication and republication of truthful, non-misleading, non-commercial political speech and information that is protected under the United States Constitution,” the complaint says. “Its purpose is to allow people to share knowledge and empower them to exercise their fundamental, individual rights. It was created and developed during the week of July 22, 2018—long before the State enacted Senate Bill 2465.”
The plaintiffs are represented by attorneys Chad Flores, Daniel Hammond, and Hannah Roblyer of Texas-based Beck Redden LLP and Daniel L. Schmutter of New Jersey law firm Hartman & Winnicki.

That's part of why there is a Federal government, to keep states from warring with each other over trying to enforce their own laws in another state.
Sounds like a freedom of the press issue.
The anti-Second Amendment blue state attorney generals are getting around that requirement by filing lawsuits against people in other states.
They are using the civil process to leverage their political power.
Well, they can issue an arrest warrant for you and you will be under the threat being picked up on it the next time you get stopped for speeding and then held in jail for extradition. You may prevail in court but you could easily be bankrupted in doing so.

So if I live in Texas and own/possess a 15-shot 9mm magazine or a 30-round AR mag which is perfectly legal here, the communist state of NJ can issue a warrant against me because I broke “their” insane law? And then if I happen to get pulled over for speeding in Beeville or Three Rivers, TX, I can then be extradited to NJ even though I’ve never set foot in the evil commie shitehole? Come and take it.
So he’s moved on from being anti-second amendment and is now also anti-first amendment. Oh, he’s a democrat. Well, we knew that already then.
that would depend on if you’ve ever distributed one of those firearms in NJ from Texas. That’s what the law prohibits.

But where to? Pennsylvania has a lower income tax but its death tax is horrendous. Delaware has a better death tax, but its income tax (in my bracket) is actually worse. Florida? No income tax and no death tax. But what happens when 1,000,000 felons regain the right to vote next time? The state will become New Jersey with unbearable summers.
I have my eye on Florida, but I fear at some point it too will turn blue.
It’s my understanding that $15/hour min wage is on the ballot for 2020.

It looks like they HAVE censored that website - I don’t see the #D printer blueprints there any longer. Now, Facebook Censorship PROHIBITS any direct mention of the website. However, to read the article, go to: CodeIsFreeSpeech but with a www. prefix and a .com suffix, if you follow me. Sorry this is necessary in today’s world, but they don’t want any non-approved knowledge circulated.
