Prohibits court from inquiring into defendant’s immigration status or requiring defendant to disclose defendant’s immigration status at time of plea or at any other time during criminal proceeding. Requires court to allow defendant, upon request, additional time for plea decision after informing defendant about possible adverse immigration consequences of plea.
Declares emergency, effective on passage.

The morons in the Oregon state legislature tried to give driver's licenses to illegal aliens a few years ago, and the voters of Oregon soundly smacked them down at the polls (Measure 88) and repealed it, despite a massive spending advantage from the business lobby telling Oregon residents how great an idea letting illegals drive is.

This has always been the case.
The decennial enumeration has always counted
all “persons” or “residents” for congressional representation
without regard to their citizenship or status,
and that will not change with the 2020 census.

The democrat’s complaint is that illegal aliens
might not participate in the census, and might not be counted
if the enumeration asks about their legal status.
