The company said it will not reopen the search process "at this time. We will proceed as planned in Northern Virginia and Nashville, and we will continue to hire and grow across our 17 corporate offices and tech hubs in the U.S. and Canada."

they weren’t wanted.

“The proposal ran into opposition from local politicians who opposed the $2.8-billion in incentives promised to Amazon in a deal secretly negotiated by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.”

This is so very unfair! How is Mayor de Blasio going to fund his latest socialist schemes now? Maybe he should just sue Amazon for breach of promise.

Yeah, that’s the ticket.

"...[Amazon employment of approximately 5000 jobs at $150,000 per]..."

Was that buried in the article? Will have to reread it.

They were saying that property valuations had already decreased because there was speculation amazon was pulling out. LOL

Bezos is too late with his crony-capitalist, corporate welfare scheme.

5 years ago, Elon Musk already duped Gov. Cuomo and NY State into building him a $750 million solar-panel factory which, of course, now that it is running, is at only 10% of the promised employment, using second-hand equipment, has none of the technology promised - and is a total white elephant.

5,000 jobs at $150,000 per job is $750 million in personal income.

New York was giving Amazon more than $1.8 billion in tax incentives for those 5,000 jobs.

AOC is a babbling idiot most of the time, but on this issue she looks like a MENSA member -- even compared to some people here on FR. LOL.
