I’m familiar with Israel prophecy, ie: world turns against, their miraculous protection against huge attack.
Is that what you’re eluding to?
You can imagine similar end-time worry during 1947 Independence, 65, 71, 73 conflicts.
Endtime proven to be quite elastic...

they didn’t think 47 was end times- the bible spoke of a generation (whatever that means according to God- many thought it meant around 2018 because a generation is about 70-80 years- could be a few years away, could be quite a few years away- we don’t know what God meant) AFTER something like 47 happening- none of the conflicts aligned with bible prophecy- they were just more ongoing conflicts- Those who know the bible know that end times isn’t going to happen until certain things take place- mainly the whole 7 years of peace with the world that Israel will enter into- which will be broken by 3 /12 years by the world/anti-Christ

47 was important date, but wasn’t a sign of imminent end times-

Revelation chapter 16 is one of several that come into mind. People are familiar with the term Armageddon but it simply means "plains" or plains next to a city. This chapter states of multiple calamities occurring either simultaneously or consecutively in rapid succession. IOW, one does not have time to digest the news when another disaster hits.
Israel has always been central to Bible prophecy. The gaza strip promised to Israel appears the most likely target of a large military adventure preceding the second Coming of Christ.
By this time fully 1/3 of the earths population will have been killed by various means.(possibly radioactive fallout)
